The motto at Beatrice Bradley is “We do not tour places, we experience places,” and its South Dakota trip lives up to that philosophy. The company’s tours are designed for women over the age of 45 who love the USA and want to experience its rich history. Trips created by the Beatrice Bradley team are meant to mimic a “friends getaway,” so whether traveling with your own friends or heading out solo, everyone feels at home. The South Dakota trip begins at Chamberlain’s Thunderstik Lodge, which the group has all to itself. ‘Forever Friendships’: Conservative, Older Women’s Travel Group Is Booming
Between the elections and a pandemic, 2020 brought about deep divisions that made it difficult for people to reach out and form connections during a time when it was needed most.
In the aftermath, Deborah Schutt, Kim Kalan, and Jane Rabe, entrepreneurs with plenty of travel experience, had embarked on a venture to get women back out into the world. They tried wine and cheese events. They tried mother-daughter trips. Kalan, who ran outdoor businesses Gage Outdoors and Big Hat Outdoors with her husband, tried asking that clientele, mostly men, if they’d gift girls trips to their wives.
They were all complete and utter flops.
After a year and a half of failed launches and money lost, the trio went out to lunch together, albeit a little sadly, Kalan said. There, they came up with one more idea.
“We said, let’s see if we can get conservative women to travel together,” Kalan recalled. It turned out to be the perfect formula. The idea would turn into Beatrice Bradley (bbgage.com), a travel club where women would travel solo but experience a destination together in a group of no more than a dozen with a host who has everything already booked and planned.
They put up a Facebook ad targeting conservative, patriotic women over 50, and immediately got a response. That first day, Kalan remembers seeing alerts about new sign-ups by the minute. By the Fourth of July, they had received some 700 members, and Facebook shut the ad down. In 2022, the group organized 32 trips, and this year will see 55. Next year there are some 70 trips planned, more than doubling their first year, with other ventures in the works. Broader travel industry statistics show similar growth: Solo travel is the biggest growing sector, and the vast majority of these travelers are female. A quarter of Americans reported considering a solo trip this year.
“Somehow we stumbled upon it over chicken wings and salad,” Kalan said. “It’s truly magical … these women come together, and a lot of these women come from a bad spot … and they come and they heal. It truly is magical.”
Friendships Forged Through Adventure
Debbie Henderson lost her husband a few years ago. They had been a close couple, and Henderson cared for him all the way to the end. She’d brought him home from the hospital, and set up a hospital bed for him in their home by a window and slept nearby. She heard him take his last breaths, saw him close his eyes for the last time, and then she called the funeral home and crawled into bed beside him to wait. After he passed, she fell into a deep depression, losing her appetite for life. She dropped a drastic amount of weight and was skeletal at 95 pounds, when one days she woke up and realized she had stopped living herself, and decided it had been long enough.
“I started my journey back to living again and that’s when I found Beatrice Bradley and that’s why I tell them that they saved my life,” Henderson said. “I needed to get back to my life and they gave me the opportunity.”
Henderson isn’t the only one with a story like this, Kalan explained. Some of these women lost spouses by death or divorce, some have lost children to suicide, and many have lost friends. She can hear the courage they’ve mustered up in order to book these trips when she speaks to them by phone, and she’s experienced numerous times in person the transformation that they undergo on these five to seven day trips. Schutt remembers one woman who told her she hadn’t laughed in the past two years after losing her husband and lived in a cloud of gloom, but on that trip she took she smiled and laughed every single day.
“Jane and Deborah and I, we’ve lost a lot of our friends. And it’s hard. It’s sad. You don’t know how to have fun anymore. So these women come on these trips, and they truly learn how to have fun again,” Kalan said. “They’re all grandmas going ziplining, going rafting, hiking, eating fabulous food.”
Women the average age of 67 decide to step into an adventure, ziplining together and swimming with the manatees. The more adventurous the trip, the more it seems to appeal to the older set, Kalan quipped, and on every trip these hosts hear women say that they’d had the trip of a lifetime. But, they add, the magic of it is really in the camaraderie.
Henderson and her husband had both been in the travel business and took vacations together frequently, but traveling alone seemed too intimidating for her. With a group of other women, in similar age range and with similar views—Beatrice Bradley stresses repeatedly in its signup process that the club is for conservative, patriotic women who love America—Henderson and other women said they have one less thing to worry about. There’s no fear being ostracized on a trip, or a political debate dividing a travel group; and as such the travelers usually leave behind the issues of politics altogether in pursuit of adventure.
Ivy McKinney has a long bucket list of places she wanted to experience, and a husband who will travel but doesn’t quite enjoy it. Many times, she says, he will ask whether one of her girlfriends could go with her instead. She considered traveling alone, but wasn’t quite sold on the idea of having to plan out everything herself and then sit in restaurants alone. The meticulous planning at Beatrice Bradley convinced McKinney after her first trip to then book five more, many of them with women she met on her first trip.
“They just think of everything,” McKinney said. The trips are paid for up front, and travelers book their own flights. Once they arrive, hotels, meals, snacks, itinerary, and everything else is covered for and considered, so there aren’t additional fees or planning to take care of while you’re there, McKinney said. The company is a boutique one, selecting unique accommodations like a mansion in the mountains and local chef-driven restaurants. It’s not budget travel; trip costs run in the thousands. McKinney’s New York City Christmas trip was around $3,000, and international trips run higher, Schutt’s recent Costa Rica and Ireland trips coming out between $6,000 and $7,000. At this price tag, the Beatrice Bradley team is conscious that the trips are truly special experiences for these women, and make it so that the women need not focus on anything but enjoying the experience.
“And the great thing is, that was kind of unexpected for me, was that I made friends that I’ll have for the rest of my life,” McKinney said. “I know all about their lives and they know all about mine, so it’s really forever friends. You just don’t really have the opportunity to make friends like that in your day to day life.”
At the request of several club members, the Beatrice Bradley team cautiously ventured into couples’ trips. One such trip went well this year, and more may come in the future. The founders say a travel club for younger women, in their 30s and 40s, is also on the horizon.

Beatrice Bradley is named after Schutt’s grandmother, Beatrice Belle Baker Bradley.
“My grandmother was a take-no-prisoners kind of feisty women,” Schutt said. “She’d say, come and let’s have a little adventure today. I remember when I was 4 she took me to the movie ‘Gigi’ … we’d grab our coats and get into the car and go somewhere, just spend the day doing something fun.”
“She really, really said to me, you need to embrace adventure. Have fun. Don’t be afraid of it. Don’t let anybody talk you out of something. Be fearless. Push yourself and try something new and different, you’re going to enjoy life so much more,” Schutt said. “She was very bold in that way, well before her time.”
Beatrice did not have the opportunity to travel the world, or much at all, but the fearlessness Schutt admired in her grandmother inspired her to name the travel club after her. “It puts people together and gives them a chance to be fearless and embrace adventure and meet all these new people.”

Review: Traveling with other solo traveling women that I could relate to, was refreshing. All were interested in getting to know each other. To be greeted each morning by truly interested women was meaningful. The differing experiences and points of view shared by the local tour guides, both educated me and disappointed me. I’m a facts based person who can understand the norms of historical times. I just wasn’t expecting the bias. Seeing the historical sites and hearing the personal stories of accomplishments and struggles was enlightening. I understand it’s not always a fun to travel and not have a close person to share the experience with, I have done solo travel before this trip. The BB hosts and the women on the trip were welcoming and fun to be with, I felt taken care of in all aspects.. Don’t let solo travel worries hold you back. I appreciated the personal concern and faith filled reassurance from Ellen Swanson. I was stranded in Chicago for 24 hrs and was feeling defeated, stressed, and worried about missing the start of my tour. She was my rock! I loved how Jessica and Dana kept track of us, allowing me to not worry if I dawdled while taking in the history of each place.

Review: I had travelled with two women on other trips and was happy to reconnect on this trip! (Susan & Sandy). I actually connected with several other women in meaningful ways. My experience was enhanced by being with like-minded women and living our patriotic lives without having to temper our expressions! I loved all the activities. Visiting historical places and hearing about life in our country’s past. I was surprised, but not really, that the Trump Winery was so beautiful and luxurious! The Boar’s Head Resort was fabulous! I loved the ax throwing, the kayaking, the falconry demonstration. Also, the food was great! Our farewell dinner was so much fun. What a great trip!!! My first tip was two months after my husband passed. I felt awkward and had very little confidence, but felt the pull to go forward. The trip was more than I could have imagined. The Hostesses were welcoming and friendly, the women embraced me and gave me encouragement to open up and embrace them. The activities were wonderful. (Southern Charm). I had a few Spiritual experiences and gained confidence for my future success as a widow navigating life. I love Beatrice Bradley and can’t wait for my next (4TH) trip- Outer Banks in a few weeks! Ellen met me at the airport and we connected right away. She’s so welcoming and friendly! Jessica is also friendly and has so many stories and abilities. I was a little bit hesitant about Dana. Not real sure how I would feel about having a man on our trip. He endeared himself right away by helping us with our luggage and getting in and out of the big van. He did not insert himself or get in the middle of our experiences, but gently herded us along to keep on schedule and lend a helping hand wherever needed. Also, many fun stories and fun!

Review: I made friends with several ladies in our group and hope to take future trips with them. My favorite thing you do is post participants pictures and set up a chain of communication which allows us to stay in communication with each other long after the adventure. I was surprised at the relief and freedom I felt being with like-minded women. No WOKE tension. Also I find the women I meet traveling solo are just a little vulnerable but very adventurous. All want to reach out and meet others and have a good time. I would always encourage women to give it a try with the protection and attention you provide. A great way to begin your solo travel experience. You make it safe and comfortable to travel. I loved Ellen, Jessica and Dana. They never let their duties slack. Perfect hostesses who participated right along with us. I loved Ellen’s constant smile. She is the best. They never bossed us around and somehow kept track of us without a dramatic headcount every time.

Review: I felt most connected to the 2 hosts I knew, Wendi and Kelly, and felt most connected to fellow traveler Debbie from Florida, though I loved the other ladies as well. I felt at ease and comfortable around the familiar hosts and felt I could joke and be myself. I have been to the North Carolina side of the Smokey Mountains very briefly over 15 years ago, but wasn’t really impressed. What surprised me the most was the sheer beauty of the Tennessee side of the national park. I learned the Smokey Mountains is the most visited part in the nation, NOT Yosemite. I also learned that the park is to have no entrance fee due to the arrangement of the ones who organized the finding of the park. Also, the lodge AND my room had a front-row view of the prominent Le Conte peak that was very much out of this world. The lodge was situated above Gaitlinberg but you can see the pretty lights at night there. I learned from Kelly the host that Gaitlenberg does not allow towering signs advertising gas stations, hotels, etc. in order to keep the character of the town intact. Well, they were and are so very friendly to each and every traveler. They had us sit in the living room and give each lady a Rapid Fire card with questions to spark conversations about ourselves and each other. All a first time solo traveler would have to do is just give Beatrice Bradley a try once, and more than likely she will be joining BB for future travels. Yes! Wendi, Kelly, and Jody were outstanding and hard working while being loving, friendly, and providing guidance all at the same time. They are always available to us for questions, comments, and do really care completely about each guest and are genuine and authentic in every way. Thank you ladies for just being who you are and helping us through the week and each day in such a positive light-hearted way.

Review: Laura and Karen were so good…..customer service 101 for sure. I loved traveling with the gals…. I had been to Colorado several years ago and had done some of the events on the trip. My husband died 10 months ago so to go alone with the other gals was ideal for me. It did make me realize I will do it again. This was my first trip solo. I would encourage others definiately and hope to ask other friends I know to go. All went so smooth but the Denver airport was a challenge; however, Karen got me there in plenty of time and I had to ask a couple of employees but learned from it for sure. Karen and Laura definitely made the trip the best. They were amazing and they made the trip amazing….

Review: Group leaders Karen Schlucter and Laura Rendon were amazing!!! They were so kind and caring and all of us felt so welcomed. They made sure we all enjoyed our experience abd had everything we needed. Their organization skills were amazing. They didn’t miss a beat and we were able to see and do everything as planned. I really enjoyed meeting them and our travel mates. By the end of the trip we all became very close. So cool! The trip and the experiences have helped me reset my life and has motivated me to get back on track after several years of dealing with depression from major health issues. I feel much lighter now. I would recant what I have previously said and also tell them how easy it was to let somebody else take care of the trip plans and food so that you don’t have to do it alone. I would also tell them about how you get to meet such nice similarly minded ladies on this trip that you might not get to meet had you not gone. Review: Getting to know & become friends with women from the 60’s to 80’s from all over the United States. We laughed together & learned from each other & became close in less than a day. I’m a bit claustrophobic & I survived the tour in the cave winds. I went on this recent tour with my best friend, but on last year’s southern comfort trip I signed up alone & requested a roommate. The BB hosts will make you feel comfortable. BB travelers form a sisterhood by day 2. The guest travelers are interested in their tour mates & they want to get to know their fellow travelers. On my tours I try to sit someone different at every dinner to get to know my traveling companions. Laura told me that I was a good friend when she saw me helping my BFF on the trip. I was happy to get that recognition.

Review: I made lovely friendships with several travelers on this trip. And both of the hostesses were wonderful, but I was able to spend some extra time with Laura and she and I really connected. I could feel her kind and genuine spirit. The Colorado scenery was continually awe inspiring. Seeing buffalo, elk, marmots, and pica in Rocky Mountain National Park was a highlight for me. The opportunity to see Colorado in person renewed my appreciation for the USA! Don’t miss out on the great trips offered by Beatrice Bradley! The trips are well curated and everyone is welcoming and lovely. You will feel like old friends in no time! Don’t miss out. Being the last two headed home, our hostess Laura and I were navigating the airport together. As we entered an elevator, a stranger remarked we must be good friends or sisters. She was surprised when I told her we just met 7 days ago! I think that speaks to how quickly we connected and how at ease we were in our new friendship. Both Laura and Karen are amazing hostesses and truly kind, loving people. I appreciate how hard they worked to keep on schedule, while still making sure individual needs and interests were being met. They also deserve kudos for creating a culture of inclusiveness and sisterhood. Thank you for making it such a great trip!

Review: Getting out of my comfort zone. When I first saw the itinerary, I was apprehensive about going into a cave and especially the bat-a-pult. I kept telling my family that there was no way I could do those 2 things and that I would sit them out. However, after meeting the ladies on the trip and getting to know them, I felt if they can do those things, then so can I. It gave me tremendous confidence after I accomplished those 2 activities. When it came time to go to Seven Falls, a few were discussing the 224 steps to get to the top. The connections I made with everyone were so strong, that I felt confident to achieve that goal as well and I surprised myself by doing it.
I would tell her about my own experience. That in my almost 61 years, I have Never done anything alone. I either had my family, or my husband, or children no matter what, someone was always with me. This was my first time to ever do anything by myself. I felt so much at ease with the way the plans were so thought out, each and every detail. The communication we had before hand on the group call, and the way we were in constant communication the day of our arrival. I felt safe and knew I could trust Karen & Laura to see that we were never left doubting anything. They were amazing right from the very start. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They met each of us at the airport with big smiles, made us feel welcomed like we were old friends. I loved how well they worked together. They were an amazing team.
I could not thank you enough for the amazing time I had. You both worked so well together and in sync throughout the entire trip. It wasn’t until the day before we left that I learned that this was your first trip together. I would never have guessed that. You worked so well together that I thought you had done many trips together. I really felt so comfortable with both of you. You both were so caring and sincere. You made sure we were all looked after and were having a great time. I wish I could go on many more trips with the both of you.

Review: This trip was special because a few of us from the Montana trip in May ’24 were reunited and strengthened our friendship formed on that trip, further. Also, our hosts Mercy & Suzanne are top notch and our second trip with them as well. While I’ve been to different parts of Canada many times, this was my first trip to the Canadian Rockies and it did not disappoint. The sheer beauty of the region was very inspiring and as an artist, I’m looking forward to creating some new designs to reflect this. Also, coming from the low country of South Carolina, I’m always amazed that no matter what I do to prepare, there is no prepping for elevation, when you have none. lol. This is the perfect group and travel to do if you are solo, but still want to experience the world. There is no reason to stay home. Book the trip, cross off the bucket list items, meet new people, create memories. The trip is what you make of it and I’d encourage anyone to go for it. Mercy and Suzanne are second to none. This was my second trip with them & I couldn’t have been happier to travel with them again. No detail is left to chance. Even when it appears something might not go the way it was planned (no one can control the weather), it all works out. They are encouraging when you need that extra push, accommodating for making sure we get to experience as much as is possible, great at adjusting if needed and really tuned into making the trip special for everyone. I’m looking forward to our next adventure together.

Review: I expanded my friendship with one of the hosts, Connie Pickett. She was a host on a previous BB trip and I was able to get to know her more deeply and expanded on the friendship we started last year. Being able to see the wildlife in their natural surroundings made the biggest impression on me. It showed how animals of many different species can live together in harmony. it would be a better world if humans could do the same. The hosts are wonderful at making sure everyone feels comfortable and included in the group experience. Everyone on the trip was open and welcoming and the hosts made sure everyone’s needs were accommodated. Each person’s personal experience in traveling alone was respected and those with less experience were given extra support by the hosts and trip members. Thanks to Connie and Kelly for handling our unexpected events and for taking some awesome pictures!

Review: I feel like all the connections that I made were wonderful. There was no awkwardness with anyone that I noticed; we all got along amazingly well, especially since we were from all over the country, which sometimes can be an issue. I was not sure what to expect as far as being in Africa went. It was amazing. The world is a big place and so much to see, can’t wait to see more. I have always loved to travel and now I want to do more. He experience was exceptional. From the way that Beatrice Bradley had someone plan the whole trip, to everything that we saw and learned. I would 100% recommend this trip or any trip with ya’ll. I went with my Aunt, but at no point did I ever feel like we were on the trip alone. The hostess really helped with the group bonding. Connie and Kelly were amazing. They were very kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Even with the few hiccups we had on our trip with one member getting hurt and then the delays in our flight coming home, they were beyond professional the whole time, never getting flustered. Having to deal with 12 different personalities can not be easy, but you would never know that. They excel in their field.

Review: Everyone was very collegial. The 2 hosts were fun & worked hard to get what the group asked for. The hells canyon rafting team was superb, friendly, great team work & never condescending to a group of senior ladies. I really enjoyed my new roommate, but think any of the 15 of 17 would have been easy. Great that you advertised the conservative pledge, despite not much political discussion, everyone seemed to be of the same persuasion, so very comfortable. First time ever of any kind of camping & so glad I stepped beyond my boundaries. Encouraged to do more in the future. Go for it! It is only a week & because we were so isolated , we quickly became friends with everyone. Melissa & Jody were such fun hosts & willing to help any of us anywhere. Jody, too funny with her dance moves & falls would travel with either of them again in a heartbeat.

Review: I loved meeting other guests whom are strong ladies. I lost my husband last year, and yet in meeting the other guests, I heard of illnesses and losses that made my loss seem so trivial. I am hoping after connecting on facebook with a few of the ladies that these friendships will be lifelong. Viewing the Ark makes one ponder that the world is much bigger than just the area you live in, or the continent for that matter. The fear of the unknown is the most scariest, and yet it is only fear that holds each of us back.

Review: Everyone connected well and we enjoyed the time together each day. Our hosts Karla& Ellen made sure we were aware of the events and if we needed anything at all they were available. They both made this a memorable vacation for me. The Ark was overwhelming and made me step back and look at my faith and how much you take for granted. It was a beautiful experience as well as the Creation Museum helped give me a true Bible believing experience. Our tour guide at the Cathedral Basilica was so knowledgeable and gave great details of the church as well as the Catholic faith. He was 92 years old and was so easy to listen to. He made my day. The food tour & guide was a pleasure to listen to and very detailed about the town of Covington. Nice town and our Hotel was 5 star all the way. BB takes care of every detail and no worries for you. Everything is first class and they make you feel welcome and care about your feelings. Karla and Ellen were so much fun and professional handling all requests from who wants the front seat to making sure we’re all together to get the day started. Made you feel part of the group at all times and safety was a priority. Perfect hostesses and can’t wait to travel with them again. Thank you for a great trip.

Review: My sister and I experienced this trip with BB for the first time. We are both more introverted than outgoing but the women we were with were all friendly and welcoming to all personalities. It helps that we are all like-minded and do not clash politically, which makes bonding easier. Our leaders, Mercy & Suzanne were inspiring. They were both so positive and encouraged the ladies to “go for it” whether it was hiking a distance or rafting. I loved all the activities that were included on this trip. Women older than me striving to partake in all of them was uplifting. Some of the women in our group were more acquainted with each other since they had traveled together before but first timers were easy to accept and encourage each other. The leaders were also more familiar with having traveled with some on previous trips but they were very even in attention to all of us. Our tour guides, Mercy & Suzanne, were fantastic. Both were knowledgeable, fun. Mercy has exceptional organizational skills and had a back-up plan if anything caused a change in the original itinerary that was well curated. I fear traveling with any other leaders because Mercy and Suzanne set the standard of excellence. Both were welcoming and interested in each person without favoritism. I would highly encourage solo travelers but they need to be aware of the physical demands.

Review: I felt a real connection to more than half of the women on this trip. The thing about 50+ women is that we have LIVED, and I really enjoyed getting to know them and hearing their stories. These women were generous and supportive and fun. The Dancing Spirit Ranch was magical. The serenity of the place was overwhelming and inspiring. I did not want to leave. I was a little nervous about joining a group trip alone, especially when I learned that several of the women knew each other from previous trips. But everyone was so welcoming, and there were no cliques. Everyone just hung out together. Now I am looking forward to seeing some of them on future trips. It was one of the best things I have ever done — just go! Mercy and Suzanne were wonderful hosts — beyond expectations. They made everyone feel welcome, encouraged and supported us if we were a little scared to try something, just made the entire trip so special. And they were so much fun! Review: Everything was spectacular. The ranch was amazing and so relaxing and was absolutely beautiful. The friendships that were developed will last a long time, everyone was so friendly. Review: It started with meeting the hosts at the airport. I had been anxious about meeting new people, but after the warm greeting from them, I instantly felt relaxed. And, meeting women from all over the country was fascinating and so much fun! I learned how to effectively use a few southern sayings and they learned that Michigan is shaped like a mitten! I enjoyed my conversations with every woman on the trip. When I read about the group, on Facebook I believe, I thought it was too good to be true. My husband does not enjoy traveling and my close friends have husbands that love to travel. This group fit my needs so well. Meeting and traveling with like-minded women gives us something in common out of the gate, but then we learn about the differences as we spend time together. I’ve been retired for 11 years and I wasn’t sure I was up to meeting so many new people at once. It has given me confidence that I still have it! It’s okay to be anxious. That’s normal. But, truly, everyone is genuinely nice and welcoming. That starts with the hosts, but the other women are so much fun to be around, too. There is plenty of time built in for personal relaxing and regrouping. There was never pressure to participate in any event. We were treated like the mature women we are. I was a little concerned it would feel like a middle school field trip. Not at all! Just a group of women enjoying themselves on an adventure. Connie and Sharon were the absolute best! They worked hard to make sure that all of us had what we needed. They seemed to truly enjoy being with us. I had great conversations with both of them. It was a pleasure not to be in charge. They made sure to convey that they were there to solve problems, iron out wrinkles, and make sure things run smoothly. I have 3 more trips planned and they’ve set the bar high!

Review: Having wonderful like minded ladies to share an experience of a lifetime in our wonderful nation’s Capitol. While not my first trip, this group of ladies helped to far exceed my expectations and experience. The hosts were very helpful to move us along and enable us to enjoy the full opportunities. Having my second experience be as great as the first was a pleasant surprise by far. And having wonderful like minded people to share it with, thoroughly enhanced my trip to the most wonderful country in the world’s Capitol. Solidified my thought about being blessed to live in The beast country and at a significant time in history. The BB experience is comforting to try it traveling alone. Their knowledge, planning, foresight of and initial scoping out of the “terrain “ prior to our arrival, and general camaraderie for the trip’s theme, and the details they created to enhance where we were, such as flags, sunglasses with patriotic themes, and fans in the July themes (see pictures!!!). In addition, they kept us on schedule, helped with a few snags that some encountered, and were generally just helped us to enjoy. How wonderful these small additions made us feel patriotic, excited to be there, and just plain fun!!!

Review: My trip was so much more than I could have imagined! My hosts were wonderful, so attentive to our every need! The accommodations, food, tour guides were All 5 star! The ladies I met were like my old friends from the first hello! I was teary-eyed when we parted, My roommate was like my twin sister! We were both blown away how much alike we and the group were. Thank you for the EXPERIENCE! I came home and booked 2 more trips! I was really out of my element! This was the first ever solo trip in my life! Review: 3rd time is the charm. I bonded with more travelers this trip than ever before. Seemed we all meshed and enjoyed each other’s company. Several of us have said we would like to travel together again. I was inspired by the amount of people who are finally beginning to be awake on the greatness of America. Not just our group but I saw so many wearing Patriotic colors and just having a good time living in America! Visiting with fellow travelers reminds me that we all have the same life just in different States. Take a short trip to begin with. If you don’t enjoy it, it was only 3-4 days out of your live. If you enjoyed it, it will be a fun 3-4 days! This trip had several 1st timers and many travelers and hosts worked to help them feel included. Only one way to find out-just do it! Review: The hosts for this trip (both Group 1 AND Group 2) were so warm and welcoming. They do all they can to make sure you feel included and part of your travel group. I felt like they were there to support me in many ways for this trip. The ladies in my group were phenomenal. Around Day 3 of the trip, another lady in Group 2 asked if Susan, Cindy and myself were from the same place and knew each other prior to this trip. The answer was no, we have just met but the level of friendship, ease of being around each other was just there. As a solo woman in my 60’s, this added to the trip ambience and certainly makes me want to continue to travel with Beatrice Bradley. The level of history in Washington DC is huge. You know it, but until you see and hear it—that brings it to life. My goal now that I’m back home is to read more history. Traveling solo can be intimidating. Beatrice Bradley hosts track your flights, make sure someone is there to meet you, they provide instructions on who/what/where etc. Their planning allows me to enjoy the trip without worrying about the logistics. My fellow women travelers have been so friendly. Connie and Sharon were awesome and worked hard to get us where we needed to be. They were constantly working to make sure we didn’t miss important things. That B2 flyover was unbelievable and they made sure we were there to see it. I also have to say that Ellen and Karen from Group 2 made it a point to reach out to us as well. I felt like if I needed anything, I had four people to pick from to help me.

Review: Starting off with my hostess Jessica with a 2-hour drive from the airport to Thunderstik was wonderful. Then, meeting all the ladies and our other host Dana when we got to the lodge. All the ladies were so nice, open to conversation, having fun and great laughter. All of these experiences made me feel welcome, open to talking and just having fun. South Dakota, Thunderstik Lodge and our adventures were so fun and encouraged me to think about more travels or experiences to get out of the house and go have fun! Review: I made meaningful connections with several of my fellow travelers. I would have to say that I felt the most meaningful connections with my hostesses, Mercy and Sara. They were both such kind, intelligent and interesting women. They took such extra care to make everyone’s experience special. I can’t imagine any better hostesses, but I expect that all of the others are also exceptional. My first trip was such an amazing experience! I’m so thankful for Mercy and Sara! I am typically a “fun in the sun” beach lover. This itinerary was very different, but most enjoyable. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the hiking and focus on nature. Our tour guide in the park, Ben, had trained as a medical doctor and was so knowledgeable about the biological and ecological aspects of the area. My favorite experience was the wolf dog sanctuary. Again, we had the most knowledgeable guide who was truly dedicated to the cause. She shared her personal experiences with each animal. I learned so much and found that I was interested in things that surprised and inspired me. Definitely part of it was sharing the experiences with my fellow travelers. I would emphatically tell her that it was one of my best travel experiences ever and not to hesitate about trying a trip with Beatrice Bradley. I was apprehensive myself, and it took me a while to take the leap. Every single aspect of the trip was amazing and I was so impressed with the accommodations, the food, the tours and the hostesses. One thing that made it so great was knowing that you were with a group of “like minded” women. I believe that is the thing that really sets Beatrice Bradley apart. I am so grateful for Mercy and Sara for really pouring their hearts into making the trip a wonderful experience for each and every traveler. They prayed over us all, that they would provide something for everyone. All of the travelers were older than them, but they treated everyone like we were all just great friends. Review: I went on this trip with a girl friend of many years but over the course of the week we both got to know and appreciate all of the women who shared this experience. It was a fabulous week and we were blessed with great weather. We flew in small planes, took water taxis, kayaked on the ocean and saw lots of Moose, eagles, sea otters and seals. The scenery everywhere was breathtaking! This trip continued to fire up my wanderlust and I really want small group experiences, not large group tours. I also appreciate extraordinary experiences and BB is fantastic about planning trips that are interactive and allow a bit “down” time as well. This was my 3rd BB experience and all have been phenomenal. Traveling solo isn’t hard especially if the traveler isn’t afraid to ask questions or learn from other travelers. Each trip actually makes me more confident in my abilities to navigate travel arrangements and be more flexible. BB’s hosts are all delightful and eager to assist, if needed, but also encourage self reliance. They are knowledgeable, warm, and welcoming and go above and beyond to make sure the entire group is getting a fantastic experience.

Review: Each lady was unique. Everyone shared their life’s journey which made me more equipped to walk mine. One special lady and I will keep in contact and are planning another BB trip to Iceland 2026. At age seventy five, newly widowed, my confidence was lacking. I discovered that while I couldn’t go as fast or as long as I might like, I was very much still in the game. Trust. Our hosts, Laura and Suzanne were open and supportive. The other ladies added silliness and support. Everyone was flexible and caring. Do it, just go. Suzanne was the planner. We laughed when we heard, “Ok ladies, plan B.” She consulted us for each decision when we had to vary from the daily agenda. Laura was our mother hen, encouraging without pushing. Review: It was a great group, we laughed like old friends which made everything more fun. Jessica and Dana were very helpful hosts and always joined in the fun. I’ve always lived in cities, and though I’ve travelled a lot, I’m not used to remote places. This has a distinctive culture and set of habits that I enjoyed learning about through guides, rangers, etc., and the fact that the hosts both know it so well helped. The Thunderstik staff was also great and very much part of the community. It was my first time firing a gun and I enjoyed learning about the junior program for trap shooting, and watching them practice. I would say that because we show up alone we are all in the same boat. It is a pleasure getting to know the other women and it happens fast. Yes, Jessica and Dana both did a great job of getting us where we should be, being flexible and caring about special requests, and shared their knowledge of the area. They were fun!

Review: After only ten minutes we had all connected and were bonded for the remainder of the trip. It felt as though a match maker had set us up! The connection was so immediate and so strong. I feel like I made friends for life. We all shared our stories about how we chose the trip and they were almost identical. We all stepped out of our comfort zone and embraced the unknown. I was so afraid to even touch a gun. But with Dana and Cary’s patient instructions (and my friends cheerleading me) I was able to conquer my fear and actually did a pretty good job shooting. I ended up shooting the clay on the second attempt! I’m so proud that I didn’t let my fear keep me from trying something new. I hope I will remember to apply that lesson as I continue to confront new or difficult situations. I was so nervous about going solo without knowing anyone. That all changed within ten minutes of us all meeting each other. There are other women going through the same phase of their life. We all seemed to recognize that in each other and used that as our foundation toward friendship. I would recommend to any woman considering this way to travel….give it a chance….take that leap of faith! My leap of faith landed me right in the arms of 5 new friends. There are not enough words to describe how incredible Jess and Dana were. First of all, my late husband’s name was Dana. Come on! Their friendliness, openness, and genuine caring showed in everything they did for us. Jess went shopping to accommodate my dietary needs in a way that I never would have expected. It did not go unnoticed that she and the chef had considered me even before they met me. What a sweet and impressive gesture. Dana, bless his heart, had to put up with a litter of cougars and he did so gallantly. It felt like a surprise birthday party the entire trip.

Views from Sunset Cliffs were spectacular – watching the water change directions, going in and out of caves, crashing on the cliffsides. I love the ocean – restores my soul. Review: Everyone seemed to hit it off immediately. I thoroughly enjoyed each of the ladies and had time to spend and talk with each one individually. Our hostesses, Liz and Wynndy were amazing. It seemed like we were all old friends, like I’m truly with “my tribe”. I love traveling with Beatrice Bradley. Balboa Park was amazing. I really didn’t know anything about it. I had no idea there were 17 museums within the Park. We made it to a few and I was really impressed with each one. I loved learning the history of how the Park was developed. What an incredible area within San Diego. I’m going to try to go there again. Don’t hesitate! My first trip was the Inauguration trip in Miami in January 2025. My husband had died one year earlier and I didn’t know if I’d ever really be able to laugh and have fun again. I had such an incredible time on that trip. I laughed, I enjoyed myself, every day was an adventure. I felt so loved and a part of the whole group. If you’re a conservative, being with these ladies is like being with “your people”. It’s wonderful. I can’t imagine traveling with any other solo women’s travel group – I mean, why would I even take a chance? The Beatrice Bradley women are my people. You will not regret making a decision to join in on one of the trips. My hostesses on the San Diego trip just last week were Liz Schmillen and Wynndy Sampson. I can’t imagine a better duo. They were so organized and welcoming and just plain fun. We all got along great and had such a wonderful time together. I really hope to see them on another trip. They were amazing.

Review: I loved both Kelly Kittleson and Jody Eisenschenk! They both were fabulous and went out of their way to help everyone. All the ladies were so much fun and went all seemed like sisters at the end. Sad and hard to say goodbye!! This was truly a Fabulous experience and stretched me in every way. Thank you to all who meticulously planned everything! Well, I’ve never been in an underground mine- that was a new and so interesting experience! Also hiking with Llamas was fun but the hike was extensive & challenging for me; but I made it!! Oh I loved visiting with all the ladies and tried to be friends with everyone! Review: I found this experience to be amazing. I think it is the only way to travel. The hosts, Liz Schmillen and Wynndy Sampson, really set the tone for all of this. They were engaging, helpful, funny and had it together, I traveled with my friend, Pat Fitzpatrick, and really enjoyed the company of the other three travelers. For me. stepping back in to my life and losing the fear of going to new places was the most inspirational part. I grew stronger and more confident by traveling with Beatrice Bradley. I would tell a woman who was reluctant to step out that all it takes is making the first step. Beatrice Bradley understands what women who are traveling alone need to feel comfortable. The whole process is stellar. A BB traveler may step off the plane alone, but it ends there. Review: There is something magical that happens midway through the trip, when we have passed the stage of getting to know each other, and we begin to move as a team of women travelers who have connected through a shared experience. Barriers are lifted, and we connect in a real way, not superficially. I look forward to crossing paths with these ladies again as I complete my next BB trip. I was overwhelmed by the Greeks’ pride in their country and traditions. Living in Texas, a state that takes great pride in its history, it was encouraging to experience the pride that the people of Greece have for their heritage. The island of Crete was amazing! I have always traveled, so being nervous has not deterred me from traveling. Those who have not traveled with BB, I would encourage them to try one of the shorter trips. As an extroverted introvert, trips are planned so that you have time to be within the group or have some alone time as well. Your every need is taken care of as you travel with BB. Sharon and Melissa were terrific. These ladies ensured that every one of our needs was met. Looking forward to my next adventure with BB!

Review: Ooh. there were a couple. I connected with a lady who divorced a few years ago. Plan to visit her in October of this year in her hometown. I also connected with the tour guides which I have traveled with before. Just brought me closer to a couple people through our talks and experiences. OMGosh. I have a fear for big dogs with big mouths. The Roam wolf encounter helped me overcome that fear. I’m not saying I will forever be a big dog lover, but it was a great experience. I am a person that believes in experiences. I was able to live life to the fullest on this trip. Our tour guide, Mercy helps me accomplish this. There were a couple of first time woman travelers on our trip. They soon become confident and comfortable with we ladies. We seasoned Beatrice Bradley travelers welcomed them with open arms. Oh wow! I took this trip because one of my favorite hosts is Mercy, 2nd is her mother, Suzanne. Our 2nd host was new to me, but extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Sara. I would travel with her again. These two are the best at what they do. I will continue to travel with Beatrice Bradley with these 3 hosts. They take care of every detail from dietary restrictions, tours, making everyone comfortable with their level of travel and recording our experiences. highly recommend this group for single travel.

Review: Ellen Swanson was such an inspiration. She made sure every person felt included heard and part of the experience. And truly went over and above to make this trip so fun! Machu Picchu was truly mesmerizing. Several women had interesting things show up in their pictures and even had pictures they didn’t take show up. It felt like you were near a higher power. (And not just bc of the altitude). I would explain to her how BBG hosts make sure you can take part in every adventure but not to the point of endangering yourself. Even those on our trip who were obviously not up to some of the hikes were helped along and cared for. Yes. Ellen you are an amazing human being. Truly an inspiration to me. Review: Meeting Jo-Ann and Melanie was simply lovely. Their warmth and enthusiasm would light up every room and activity. They would share their wisdom and love of lie with everyone we met. I am especially looking forward to seeing them again when they travel to Phoenix. Meeting Chris Sly from Washington State was personally inspiring. She was 10 years older than me, and yet she persevered through every challenge in Machu Pichu and the Amazon. The photo of her in the Amazon swimming with the Pink Dolphins is something I will cherish forever. It truly embodies the wonder and enjoyment of travel to amazing destinations with Beatrice Bradley. My advice is to travel with Beatrice Bradely on a domestic trip first. You can get a sense of how Beatrice Bradley handles the accommodations, restaurants and interactive experiences with guides and scheduled activities. I am a very experienced traveler to more than 35 countries, and I have lived for 20 years in 7 countries outside the USA. I feel confident in recommending Beatrice Bradley for women or couples that want to experience the world together with like-minded folks. Ellen was the perfect hostess for this international trip. She is extremely intelligent, poised, professional, and cared equally about every single individual woman on this trip. She is an outstanding representative for both the USA and Beatrice Bradley. Review: As the trip progressed, I was delighted to get to know the 11 other women. Knowing they carried conservative values and love America was immensely important. I could approach them freely and without stress. My roommate taught me “Keep going, don’t let fear freeze you”. Greece was everything I had dreamed it was! I discovered this by the excellent itinerary that was developed. I believe most of Greek culture, landscape & heritage was experienced. The ruins, oceans and food were extremely representative of the great country. The Greek way is “Yammis!” The women you will meet & become friends with share your values of conservatism & love for America. This already breaks the ice. After that, it’s just about talking with your fellow travelers and you usually strike a chord with someone that keeps you moving as a group! it’s Wonderful! Review: My roomie and I really hit it off and are planning other trips together both with Beatrice Bradley and separately. Having said that, all the women on the trip were wonderful and I feel like we all connected in one way or another. I think we will all be lifelong friends! Staying in a tent was outside of my comfort zone, but I really loved it and realized I could survive without electricity (or a straight iron or hair dryer!) or consistent wifi! I’d tell her that it was scary at first but that everyone was so friendly and welcoming and made you feel part of the group immediately. I’m so glad I did it! Suzanne & Chris were great! Review: All 8 travelers were like- minded and enjoyed all the events. Everyone loved being in nature. I believe I will have long term friendships with these fine women and this made the trip so much more enjoyable. Being in nature was so healing. I didn’t realize that some of the trees were so large and old. I felt I was in the Sequoia national park. I would say definitely to do it! Half our group were first timers and everyone of us were glad we did it. There was no fear during the trip of being isolated or bored. I never laughed so much. We all were able to talk freely and get great advice. Our 2 hosts were unbelievable. They worked tirelessly to make the trip so enjoyable with a great mix of hiking, great food, lodging and educational events ( whale watching and wolf dog rescue).

Review: From the very beginning of the trip everyone got along so well and many friendships were formed. I loved being in a group of like minded women. I loved how the guides took us all through the landscape of Montana and just not on flat and easy surfaces. We were uphill, downhill and everywhere in between. it was a true horseback riding experience. The location of being a working ranch was awesome. Got to meet so many interesting people. After reading reviews about Beatrice Bradley I wasn’t really that nervous but I would tell a new comer that from the minute you step off the plane or however you arrive at the pickup location you will feel included and respected. It is a true experience with memories lasting a life time. The hosts Carla and Jessica were awesome. I had so much fun with those two from the beginning. They are a true asset to the company. They were always up for anything and always in the thick of it trying to keep all us gals on the right track. I can’t say enough good things about them and I hope I run into them on future trips. Review: Meeting someone who thought just like me. Even though we live on opposite sides of the country we had very similar views. Its ok to be solo. I can do more than I thought possible. Review: The opportunity to do rappelling was a surprise and one that I enjoyed. I surprised myself and was glad that I did it. Learning about all the travel the other women did inspired me to plan more trips for myself. Other than the women who have previously taken trips with BB, and were seasoned and more nonchalant about the experience, for us that were new, we found each other and shared our thoughts and feelings about traveling with people that we don’t know. I would say to seek out first timers as well as the hosts. Not sure what the question means regarding feeling welcome? The Welcome dinner and constant communication from the hosts was very comforting regarding feeling like the trip was in good hands. Suzanne and Chris both had a calming presence, no drama and they were always upbeat without being over the top. They often asked each of us how we were enjoying the trip as well as what we liked so far and if there was anything we would like to do. Suzanne made sure I had some chocolate after me mentioning it just once so that was the attention to detail that was so nice and special.

Review: Rather than just one connection, there were several within the overall group – one woman was so ill she was in the ER twice, so the group – as well as the Ranch owner – were definitely supportive of her. As is probably the case, I got to know my roommate the best and we got along and enjoyed each other’s company. Not sure how roommates are assigned, but this one was perfect. Actually, I very much enjoyed both hosts, Karla and Jessica. Their personalities meshed really well with me – fun folks! You are NOT too old! One woman was 83, fell off the horse after it spooked, got back on and then rode way more than I did. She was an incredible inspiration to me – kept telling her she’s my hero. I’m a pretty good traveler – both with my husband, a group and alone. I joined this trip because no one else I knew wanted this particular ranch/riding adventure. However, I have already told several women who may be traveling solo that BB is an incredible organization. I felt very taken care of and encouraged in anything that I wanted to do. Because of that first-hand knowledge, I can speak to others very highly of what I feel they would experience! Karla – Someone I would pick for a personal friend – I’m sure she hears this all the time! She’s able to keep the group organized but not seem in a rush or be seen to be pushy. Jessica – Such a fun person! She has a lot of experience having worked at Thunderstik and in other people-centric occupations and it shows in how she interacted with me and others in the group. Really loved getting to know both these ladies and hope to see them again!

Review: First solo trip, a little nervous. At ATL for last leg to Buffalo when Janet walked up to me & said, “Are you Lynne?” We talked the whole 2 hours, bonded immediately, and were repeatedly asked how long we had known each other. We replied, “just now”! Will definitely keep in touch & travel together again. I was surprised at the commonalities we all shared. Even though we were strangers initially we left as girl friends. I feel braver, freer, and have laughed more than I had in last 40 years. My best friend remarked, “I’m glad to get my old Lynne back-she’s been gone a long time”. I was nervous about traveling solo, but you are never alone. If you crave alone time you are certainly able to do that, but there’s always one of the girls or hostesses around to have some fun! Review: It was lovely to meet ladies from across the USA. I really liked discussions revolving around shared life experiences and how each person handled it/got through it. I really wanted to travel, as I haven’t done so in many, many years. When I saw an ad for the BB tours, I read up and saw that there were a lot of positive experiences had by other women. I wanted to try it, so I chose a shorter (5 day) trip within the USA. If someone is thinking about doing a trip like this, I highly recommend trying a short trip first to see how you fare. For me, it was a very good choice and I would not hesitate now to do another BB trip. Sharon and Jess (and Dale) were very fun people…knowledgable about the area and BB. They were kind, initiated conversations for the shy and always offered help or assistance.

Review: It was great to meet a couple travelers who live relatively close to me and I’m looking forward to staying connected to them! Another friend to hang out with and maybe travel with is great! The Badlands surprised me. This dessert area within one of the most beautiful parts of our country. Learned alot there. I didn’t have any pre conceived expectations so I wasn’t surprised about much else but just completely took in the splendor of the area, the amazing people I met – and that includes the hosts as well as the Thunderstik staff. Honestly, I’d just say take a chance and do it. I remember my first solo travel experience … I was nervous but once I took the plunge I was glad I did and continue to travel solo to this day. Kelly and Jill were great. Jill’s knowledge of the area was invaluable as she was our own little tour guide in the car and around town. Kelly’s upbeat and gregarious attitude was a hoot and I thoroughly enjoyed both hosts.

Review: I actually connected with mostly each and everyone of the ladies. I especially connected with Judy since she seemed to be my dining friend as well as Cindy, Charlotte and Tesh. It felt like I had made several new friend. We laughed and connected and hope to join another BB trip in the near future. This area is truly epic and magical in every way. You are immersed in nature and the beauty of it. It is a far destination to get to from Arizona, however, I felt of sense of peace In Maine, but would not want to be here in the dead of winter. The amount of lobster in this area is insane and how much of it can be found in restaurants is surreal. This definitely surprised me and realized some areas are very desolate in the winter months. From the moment you arrive and land at your destination airport you feel like you have made an instant friend. I felt like I was traveling with a group of sisters and everyone was very welcoming, supportive and caring. I would definitely encourage any female solo traveler to do this. It makes you feel more complete. Yes, Kelly and Sara went the extra mile for sure. With the rainy weather we had and not expecting they were able to rearrange our plans and make the most of each day to the fullest. They did an amazing job and really made this trip a beautiful memory and adventure.

Review: I enjoyed several of the women very much. One immigrated from South Africa and I found her story very interesting. She is a quiet person, kind of a loner, and a deep thinker with rich and sometimes hard experiences. The most inspiring was the visit to the Wright Brothers site. I would make a note for future tours: Be sure that the group is aware that the ranger presentation is awesome. It only runs periodically, and I was fortunate to notice it starting. People should ask right away when they arrive when the next presentation will start. I would remind her that women are awesome and we freely talk to each other. I think everyone will feel welcome! They were very nice and took care of us!

Review: There was no one special connection but overall the group was incredible. It mattered not who I sat with during a meal or walked with on an experience, I was happy to be with all of the ladies and the two hosts. That’s unusual and precious. I hope to travel again with this group. Each and every one of them. I love nature and road trips, and rarely on trips have I had time to connect and appreciate God’s creation. I’m thankful for that experience. Also, it was beautiful to see strangers bonding, laughing so much and really enjoying every day. A very special trip and group of women. Traveling solo with a group is the safest and most enjoyable option. All details are taken care of and the option to have a private room allows time for rest and reflection. Knowing that you’re traveling with like-minded women of the same age group and having hosts that sincerely care about your experience make it an easy decision. Jane and Ellen were fabulous and so very caring. Not only did they accompany us in all activities, but they seemed to truly enjoy the experience. They appeared to be genuinely interested in all group members and were always available if needed. I hope I will travel with them again, sometime soon.

Review: We had 12 women on our trip and 11 of us connected really well. I think it’s great when this many women get together and it felt like I had known them for years. I think it helped tremendously that we were all conservative women with the same value system. We all respected each other and our differences and it was an awesome trip. A man came up to us in a restaurant and asked if we were having some type of reunion. He could not believe that we had met each other just a few days before. So, I connected very well with 11 of the women and the hosts.. I was worried since I did not know anyone but I was made to feel at home immediately.
1. That I could form such a great connection with women that I just met. I really connected with 5 of the women and would love to take future trips with them.
2. As far as the destination, I was surprised to see how wonderful the Grand Tetons were and how you could immerse yourself into the mountains there with intimate hiking, boat rides, rafting and horse back riding.
3. I was inspired while hiking to Inspiration Point. It was challenging and I was so proud of myself and the other women who made it to the top. We just kept going and encouraging each other! It was a great achievement.
Just do it! You only live once so make the best of it. Go and enjoy yourself and you will be amazed at how many friends and connections you can make in a matter of a few days.
Suzanne and Happy were wonderful hosts! They made us all feel welcomed and we really enjoyed the entire trip. I do have one suggestion for your next Montana/Yellowstone trip. For the full-day at Yellowstone, I would suggest skipping breakfast and just eating muffins or donuts in the van so you can start the day earlier and get in line by 7:00 at the park. We were pressed for time and missed a couple of our stops. There is so much to see in Yellowstone and traffic can be unpredictable.

Review: Forgive Everyone Everything. So many new personalities together for the first time, it’s amazing how well everyone got along. I believe this was mostly due to Suzanne and Happy. Everyone from different backgrounds and experiences yet so many similarities. I was inspired by so many different things on this trip. Inspiration was definitely an ongoing theme for me. My llama’s name was Inspiration, we hiked up to Inspiration Point. I was inspired by everyone and all for different reasons. Mostly, I admired Suzanne’s ability to calm an unstable situation. I would tell anyone who was nervous about traveling alone that Beatrice Bradley is the way to go. I felt safe and for me, that is such an important feeling. Review: This was my second trip, I find it refreshing to meet women from other States and learn something about their home State and share new experiences together in a small group setting. Vacations provide one the chance to see and try something new you may have not done before and expand your horizons. My dream was to see Yellowstone NP. I was surprised by the beauty of the Tetons with its beautiful snow capped rock formations. It was just breathtaking! You feel welcomed from the minute you arrive at your destination and form a bond with the group of women you meet. It works because of the small group size and common interest of the trip chosen. It’s not overwhelming at all and you will remember everyone’s name by day 3. It’s the reason women choose BB trips. Suzanne and Happy guided us through the entire experience, it was wonderful learning about their home State of Alaska and sharing this destination experience.

Review: The instant connection with the group. It was like being with friends I had known for a long time. The lodge and setting was breathtaking. I realized I needed to do this more often. I felt renewed. I was hesitant but with my family’s encouragement I went. As soon as I met my group at the airport I felt totally accepted and totally at ease. Morning coffee and breakfast was a wonderful way to start each day. Our hostesses were there for us every step of the way. Everything ran smoothly and I never had a worry. Review: This trip could not have been better. There were 8 of us. Being such a small and intimate group allowed for plenty of one-on-one time with each traveler. Loved meeting the lawyer who is writing a book about her arranged dates. Also the Midwest girl who walked miles each day on a broken toe. The little, kind, quiet woman who served in our armed forces. Everyone had such unique and interesting experiences to share. We are still communicating weeks after the trip. I call each my friend now. How can you visit Boston without ingesting mass amounts of history about the Revolution, our founding fathers, famous battle strategies? So much to take in. Every street had significance. I was surprised at all the green spaces inside Boston proper and how well preserved our history as a nation has been maintained. Solo groups are excellent ways to meet new friends from everywhere. I find that women that travel solo are prone to open up about themselves and to reach out to include everyone. My advice is take the leap and go. The world has so much to offer and everyone is basically the same. We feel vulnerable traveling alone and are ready to meet new people. People we can call friends. I have been on many tours but I can honestly say my hostesses, Connie & Renee, surpassed all my other ones. They were extremely organized and knew where each of us were at all times. My every need was addressed and they were not afraid to join right in with us for fun and laughter. I would love to travel with them again.

Review: All of the women were friendly so sitting with any one at any time or in a group we all shared stories. I have always wanted to go to Gatlinburg and now I have done it. Go for it! The women are friendly and you can be part of the group or spend time by yourself. No one is pushed into doing anything that makes them feel uncomfortable (i.e. ski lifts, roller coasters). The hosts are so accommodating. Oh my gosh. I can’t say enough. I feel like Sharon became a friend. Jessie was always helping. Dana was a great addition. I understand this is the first time a man was on one of these trips but he was great. He carried luggage, cooked, and had great stories but with him not staying at the lodge at night it left us with “girl time”. Would travel with Sharon or Jessie again!

Review: I was able to enjoy this trip with a lady from my 2nd trip last year as well as meet 9 other great ladies. I enjoy learning about each of their life’s and their journey thus far in life. I love to listen and learn from those older than me and gather energy/new joy from those younger. I meet a couple in the hotel lobby that had been married 68 years. Still in love holding hands. I loved their story. I planned board games with 3 of the ladies on a rainy day. Something so simple but it was hilarious and so much fun! Being a widow, I was so afraid to travel alone. I looked and looked for a group to fit me. Beatrice Bradley does just that. The hostesses are always kind, caring and attentive to your needs and personalities. They have great activities but will allow you to stay back if you just feel like relaxing. You will meet ladies from all over the U.S. who also want to travel, make new friends, and have amazing adventures! I am on my third trip and have a fourth already scheduled in 2025 and dreaming about my trips for 2026! I encourage anyone thinking about it to be brave and take a chance!! The weather was lovely. The lodge was amazing. Dollywood was much larger than expected. Review: I had meaningful conversations with a fellow widow about enjoying life after losing a spouse. Also, there were 2 women whom I had met in last September’s Iceland trip, so my “comfort level” traveling in a very different country was enhanced. The 21,000+ Seven Eleven stores! I’d heard before the trip that Seven Eleven stores in Japan are more elaborate than the ones in the US, but it was very interesting to see in person. It made me appreciate the friendship between the two countries. Just as with my first trip, I found the tour members to be outgoing, sophisticated women with extensive travel experience of some sort, whether at home or abroad. Everyone has shown some degree of concern and empathy with others. And as the age range tends to be older, we can share our life experiences, joys and difficulties all. Sharon and Lynne were very calm and relaxed as we faced a few bumps in the tour when the situation on the ground wasn’t exactly what had been anticipated. Sharon, as the senior host, was unrelentingly cheerful, and I would never have known that this was the first Beatrice Bradley trip to Japan. Kudos to them both!

Review: I traveled with my cousin. It was an experience to bond with her on a level we’ve never had before. I’d have to say the mountains and their beauty. To see what nature has made and how they spoke to me. Was truly a wonder. Our trip was a little different. There were only 4 of us that had never been on one of your trips. The ladies that had previous experiences had a lot of guidance to share with us. It helped to share with them. Connie and Angie were top notch. Review: There were 13 women and 2 hosts on this trip. Everyone got along so well. I was able to make friends with all the women. I especially liked that we didn’t sit with the same people at every meal. In other words, all the women got along and we didn’t just limit ourselves to a few in the group. Niagara Falls was a bucket list trip for me. I never imagined it would be so beautiful seeing it in person. This was the first time I’ve traveled in a group where I knew no one at the beginning of the trip. But I left with friends and a greater sense of accomplishment. It’s amazing how many people told me they could never travel alone and admired me for doing it. I would tell anyone who is nervous about joining a travel group trip to just jump in and schedule a trip that they have been wanting to take. Find a trip that doesn’t require a lot of airport connections. Find a trip that interests them. I’m planning to travel again with Beatrice Bradley in 2026, hopefully international. Karen and Carrie were the best hosts. They cared for all the travelers and made me feel so welcomed from the hugs I got when I met them to the hugs I got when we parted ways. Review: It was wonderful to meet ladies from all over the US that are married, single & widowed. For many of us it was our first solo trip and we all had different levels of anxiety but I think most of us felt at ease right away. Also great to talk with other repeat BB travelers and the places they have been to or have planned to go. Going to Niagara Falls has been on my wish list/bucket list for a long time. Experiencing the falls with this group was great. All the work that BB did behind the scenes was greatly appreciated. Our hosts told us what time to meet the next day & agenda for the day & everything was taken care of, it was fantastic not to have to do anything besides show up. While I was aware that that Karen & Carrie were always on the job, tweaking the schedule as necessary, I had nothing to do but enjoy. If she is extremely nervous about it, try to find someone to to go on trip with you if possible. Also read the testimonies from other previous travelers. Choose one of the shorter domestic trips first. Karen & Carrie you are awesome! Even though the itinerary was already done, there were many subtle changes that you were constantly working on and the trip was so smooth & enjoyable because of all the details that you took care of. Review: While I can’t say that I developed a meaningful connection with any particular fellow traveler, all of them were courteous, friendly and helpful. I found it interesting how many different cultures were represented in NYC. There were all different kinds of people (and food). It was also interesting to see how many tourists were there, all seemingly interested in America’s history. She should not worry—she will fit in. Most everyone is in the same boat of being there by herself. It might be helpful to have a little more coaching for inexperienced travelers, such as getting to the airport early, and how to navigate check in and security. Karen and Liz were great hostesses! I especially appreciated Karen’s patience when I ended up at a different terminal than expected on arrival at JFK.

Review: We were a group of conservative ladies from different parts of the country, with different backgrounds and personalities, joined together with a common interest in experiencing Japan and seeking out the best places to buy the Japanese versions of KitKat candy. I look forward to getting together with a couple of the ladies on my next BB trip. I really appreciated the opportunity to see so much of Japan. The gracious Japanese people, the food, the amazing gardens, riding the Bullet train and seeing Mt. Fuji from the window, and all the places we visited. One of our walking tours was through a very large park with many gardens, ponds, and areas of historical importance. Also touring the gardens that day were hundreds of grade school children, all carrying their field journals and wearing bright yellow hats. We were greeted with smiles, high-fives, and a chance to practice their English with “Hello”, “Have a nice day”, and even “Aloha” and “I hope you slept well.” This was my third international trip with BB. BB offers a great opportunity for solo women who would like to travel, but do not want to travel alone. Our hosts Sharon and Lynne were wonderful and did a great job keeping us together. I had been on a trip with Sharon before and enjoyed seeing her again. Lynne is scheduled to host my next trip. I look forward to seeing her in the fall. It was also fun meeting Natalie, who was always smiling when she joined us once in a while as she scouted the area.

Review: My roommate, Kathy Clark, was awesome, welcoming and I would love to travel with her again. I also enjoyed spending time and getting to know Lisa Ake and Veronica Schmidt. This was my first European trip, so I leaned on the experiences of the more seasoned ladies. The hostesses were fabulous! I really appreciated the use of public transportation, bikes and walking embraced by the residents of Amsterdam and Belgium. Good for the environment and the body and soul. I also admire Belgium’s approach to the dutch/french/english language debate. I would suggest a shorter or US trip to start and once she gets that one under her belt, she will be hooked and constantly checking the website for the scheduled trips thinking what took me so long to do this! I really appreciated the arriving and departing airport arrangements being taken care of. I think this is the most daunting thing about solo travel. The pre trip call and circulation of traveler photos were helpful as well. Ellen, Karen and Connie made a fabulous team and were so helpful, fun and welcoming. Our group was a bit on the large size with a couple of leisure walkers, and they made this trip a fabulous experience for me. Their responsibility/role is difficult, and I totally appreciate all of their hard work and efforts. They are awesome! P.S. a Switzerland rail/land combo trip would be great!

Review: One evening, a host asked the question: describe an event that changed your life. We went around the table and each one had an experience that was very deep, courageous to share and exposed vulnerability in each of us. One particular offering described how their life was changed in in just such a short moment that it was like 20 seconds in an exchange of words. This lady’s life was changed forever in marriage in Independence, everything. Days later I was still recalling the portion of the conversation about 20 seconds. And I began to think about how if I applied that 20 seconds ” rule” to my own life: 20 seconds to Pause before I speak, 20 seconds to think or rethink a choice, 20 seconds to take some deep breaths, 20 seconds to whisper a request of prayer for someone to the Almighty, 20 seconds to make sincere eye contact and really listen to someone else without planning how I will respond… 20 seconds can change a life. 20 seconds can change me.
One thing about the Moab destination that surprised me was how much I enjoyed the Hummer tour of the slick rocks and Hell’s revenge. I was surprised at how much fun it was and not as scary as it had seemed. I was also surprised by how much “exercise” you get by riding a horse. I used muscles I did not know I had. It was quite a workout, I felt so exhausted afterwards. How did cowboys do this all day, everyday? Something that inspired me on the Moab trip was meeting meeting ladies that have experienced the loss of a spouse and how they in their own way were experiencing the trip in coping with grief. Another lady on the trip had experienced some health issues and was using a colostomy bag. I would have never known until she shared her story. She was involved in every way. She exhibited strength and ability. She was overcoming challenges that none of us faced. Something new I learned, was the fascinating history behind how the landscape and terrain of Moab was created by repetitive episodes of flooding and freeze/ thaw erosion. The landscape was so vast. Several times I just felt myself speechless. On the Arches tour, we had an outstanding guide named Chris. His wealth of knowledge in biology, botany, geology, etymology and general knowledge of the Moab area was incredible. More than that you could tell that he really loved his work. He wasn’t just reciting facts. He was truly excited about what he was sharing. On Hummer excursion. Our guy’s name was Patrick. He was also very knowledgeable and patient with us, especially getting in and out of the Hummer.
For someone traveling alone that may have concerns, they should know that they are in exceptional hands with the BB hosts. Our host Suzanne and Happy, were knowledgeable and flexible. They always offered options so that each one’s capabilities and or goals were met. As an example, if someone wanted to hike 4 miles there was an option, if someone wanted to hike one or two miles. There was an option, if someone didn’t want to hike at all, there were options. I always felt safe. I felt taken care of. I didn’t feel smothered and I didn’t feel lonely either. I felt included as well as independent. Being prepared is a big deal to me, almost to the micromanaging level haha. Every morning we had a short talk about the plan for the day and in the evening we had a short talk about the events of the day as well as a short plan of the next day with a Meetup time. We always knew where to be and what time To be there. We knew what to expect and there was flexibility in managing our own strengths and challenges.
I appreciated that our hosts made an effort to connect with us by asking questions To the group? Or do us individually. Many of us had shared interests and in and I feel it was easy to engage. Many of us had parallel experiences in life and that also made connecting easy. Our hosts exhibited unity. They were well informed and agreeable. Suzanne and Happy we’re outstanding hosts in every way. In leadership, professionalism, organization, flexibility and fun too.

Review: I had a great roomate that was easy to share space with and share our thoughts on the various tours and sites for this trip. It was very nice to have a trip with just women who were like minded. We were all ready to enjoy the cities culture, food and shopping. I really was amazed at the medieval areas left in Barcelona as the city expanded with new growth. To be able to imagine how people lived before us has always been fascinating and this trip was able to show examples of this. Seeing the wall that was left along with old buildings, the pillars from Ceaser Augustus time and the ancient foundations found under the market were my favorites. I did not feel alone and I would recommend a Beatrice Bradley tour for that reason. It is easy to find someone in the group to pair up with that you might have more in common with but there are other women to talk to as well. Both hosts not only kept us on track and getting to where we needed to go but also I were very friendly. I enjoyed the company of both Sharon and Karla. They were friendly and thoroughly enjoying themselves, making the experience more enjoying. I always felt a part of the group.

Review: The women as this trip were fantastic. I loved connecting with so many women who have the same values as I do. The hosts did a wonderful job and created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all. I have connected with some of the women on Facebook so we can keep in touch. I loved watching the scenery go by on the boat. It was very calming and lower my blood pressure every day. The tours were wonderful and you could the pride the guides had for their cities and countries. Just do it. Traveling with BB is a safe and well thought out tour. The hosts are there to ensure that your needs are meet and you have a great time. Being meet at the airport by the hosts was great and made the travel much easier and safer. We had three hosts with different personalities. All three were wonderful and ensured that all the ladies were taken care of and having a great time. Review: I connected with two ladies who were special, although all the ladies were very nice and quality people. Learning about their lives and their children and grandchildren was very meaningful to me. All from different states and different vocations in which they have spent their many years of life was very interesting. We had great tour guides and they took us right in so we didn’t have to wait in the long lines. I was inspired by the architecture and the culture of the Spanish people. The food, the friendliness, and their way of life. It gave me another perspective of how hippiness doesn’t depend on how big your house is, what kind of car you drive…etc. Happy people enjoying life! I would tell her to be brave and just do it. You will meet other wonderful women just like yourself and experience the world around you like never before. She brought me some zyrtec for allergies and graciously drove me back to the horse stables to retrieve my eyeglasses that had fallen off. Laura was soooo patient with everyone and everything. She knows the Napa area well and was confident in everything she did. Connie P. – was always so sweet and helpful to everyone. So much energy! Review: I loved meeting all the like minded ladies. I especially enjoyed getting to know the hostesses, who were really lovely. I loved the visit to Arlington cemetery and I love that our group consisted of older more reverent women who understood the sanctity of the cemetery. Although I like young people, there are times that their exuberance detracts from the experience. I would let her know that a kinship forms right away. Many of us travel solo, due to different circumstances, but we all want to feel safe and bond with women who want to travel as well. Thank you Wynndy and Jill. You were both fabulous!!! For future trips, I would have Beatrice highlight the level of exertion a little more, so older travelers are aware of the pace. It was perfect for me, but one older traveler had trouble. No one wanted go so I said “ well if I don’t do this I’ll regret it forever “. A friend of mine said her sister was going and I asked her to get me the name of the travel company. Review: All the women on this trip were great. We all had something in common and we ‘clicked’ right off the start. It is these women who made the trip extra special. There was not one moment; but all the moments, from outings to dinners. It was just delightful. This was my first time going by myself, without a family member or friend. What made this trip easy for me, was the hosts meeting us at the airport and making us feel comfortable right from the start. I know our hosts worked every single day to make our experience the best that it could be. They were also part of our group, not just someone that is a ‘boss’ but one of us. I can not think of or find another group that I would want to travel with and I am looking forward to experiencing another trip. Connie and Kelly were absolutely terrific! They do an excellent job of making you feel like you belong. 🙂 This trip had to be a challenge for our hosts – change of Iditarod start, delayed flight out of Anchorage due to weather – but they rose to the occasion and kept us busy with interesting things to do and see and had a can do attitude through it all. Trip was fantastic even with the change. Flying musher and team into Rainy Pass – that was certainly evidence of desire for us to have a great experience. Job well done!

Review: First, the 2 hosts were lovely. So easy to talk to , approachable and fun. Made it clear that any concern or need you had, come to let them know and they would help or get the answer. Second, The size of the group was perfect and everyone I met was so nice, fun and has stories to tell. I believe I met other women I will see again on future trips! Third, the Safari Director was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and so much fun. Loved everyone I met. I think what helped was pictures of everyone along with their names helping us to know who is who. By the second day I felt comfortable and could talk to anyone. it was an experience whereby the hosts really gave attention to people getting to know each other and feeling at ease. I am very hard of hearing and people would let me. Sit up front or talk face to face so I could hear, that made me feel better. I am very nervous in these situations, probably due to my hearing issues, but this group of “like-minded women” of a certain age seemed and the interesting experience made me say “yes, give it a go and just try it”. I am so happy I did. It was a fabulous experience I would have never even heard of if not for this trip. I loved it and truly felt the hosts made it easy and comfortable for me as a solo traveler. Plus I think I bonded with so many wonderful animal too! Just try it once, I will be back! Our two hosts, Wynndy and Melissa were so wonderful. We could talk about everything and I believe these ladies have the perfect personalities for this job! They made me feel part of this group from the first night, and they spoke loud and clear!! Review: I met, On The First Day, a wonderful lady and instantly we became fast friends, hit it off, and laughed the whole trip. But….. everyone was wonderful, enjoyable, and positive. It lessened my slight trepidation about my first experience and as a single traveler, enhanced the trip. So much so that additional trips are in The planning. Walking to retrieve my bags upon landing, I was contacted by Wynndy told of the meeting place at the airport, and Wynndy, waiting, recognized ME as I walked through the airport!!! This was very comforting. Wynndy and Melissa were constantly vigilant about creating and maximizing the experience , as well as Chelsea, Trevor, Aiden, and Jordan and Mikey and the chefs of the food staff at the OX Ranch. All of the initial contact trip people, trip hostesses, are detailed and attentive . This allowed for the experiences to be thoroughly enjoyed for the reasons you are there. Even the smallest details are attended to, before, during, and after the trip so never did I feel isolated or alone. All you could do is enjoy with the like minded women, who love the USA, have respect for one another, and just want to have fun.

Review: I met Paula at the airport pick up and we decided to go to the Alamo and Riverwalk together. We just “clicked” and had a great afternoon sightseeing together. Once we got to the ranch our cabins were next to each other so every morning we walked to breakfast together. We also sat next to each other on the excursions and took pictures for each other. We are hopefully going to go in the Crystal River trip together in February. All the women on the trip we wonderful but I think meeting Paula at the airport gave us the chance to make a great connection. The camaraderie on the trip was just great especially on the animal excursions and sharing the beautiful moments of feeding and interacting with the ranch animals. Just take the plunge and do it!! I have traveled by myself and I really enjoyed being in a group of women who shared similar values as me. It was nice to have familiar faces to go on excursions with and conversations just flowed. Wynndy and Melissa were fun and wonderful to travel with. They always had smiles on their faces and were there for anything we needed. I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip with Beatrice Bradley it exceeded my expectations and I look forward to my next trip in September to Portugal!!

Review: Not just one, but several: the ladies from Nebraska, Anita for her travel experience and adventurous spirit, KQ for her dry sense of humor; hostess Wyndy for her good will and graciousness; Melanie for her straight shooting, call it like she sees it nature, and Paula for getting us all moving every morning with good cheer. Each time we clambered onto and off of the jeeps to go viewing wildlife. The experience is better than described. Every transport, planned activity and accommodations take place without a hitch and exceed expectations. Review: The ladies in our group were very open and welcoming. Loved sharing this trip experience with them. One of my experiences, was a snow machine drive to Rainy Pass. The Rainy Pass staff and BB hostess (both most excellent) ensured the trip was a success for me. It far exceeded my expectations which might have been a drive on a packed trail with great scenery. Instead it was a challenging experience with stellar scenery. Loved every minute of it. It was very exciting to see the ceremonial start of the Iditarod race. No way to imagine the atmosphere (people, dogs, excitement—you name it). Riding with the musher also rated up there. Who would have thought that I would be in Alaska experiencing all this! I have been on two BB trips. For both trips, my co-travelers were open, encouraging, supportive, and there to share in the trip experiences. I started making friends from the moment I was picked up at the beginning of the trip. It’s amazing how much I have in common with women from Louisiana, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada. Mercy and Suzanne were the best. They were very good at being able to pivot and move to what/where we needed to be. Appreciated all their efforts as they contributed to what was a wonderful life-experience trip.

Review: Going into this trip I was a little worried about being the youngest guest in the group but I was pleasantly surprised how many friendly ladies there were. They all were so fun to get to know & I especially loved our hosts Mercy & Suzanne. I loved the Rainy Pass Lodge experience. We were treated like family there and every experience from Ptarmigan hunting to riding on a dog sled was top notch! Even though the Iditarod was re routed this year it turned out better than we could have imagined. Thank you for flying out a private musher just for us to make up for it not being a check point through the race. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Even though I was the youngest and accompanied my mom on this trip, we all had an amazing time. If you’re on the fence just do it! You won’t be sorry. Review: Our trip was forever changing because of weather, etc. The group of women on this trip took it all in stride and became forever friends. We all worked together to have the most EPIC trip! Mercy lead the way and we all love her for making this trip so memorable. The changed itinerary worked out far better than the original. Rainy Pass Lodge was the ultimate moment in time, it made us all more connected and the staff and owners: Steve’s (father and son), Denise, Carly, Lila, Wyatt, Jayden, Connor, Colin, Travis, Finn, Jeremiah our musher and his dog team, Ken and Adam all came together to make us feel like we could do anything! Dog sledding, snowmobiling, sledding, helicopter rides, ice fishing, museum tour, horses, Wow just an amazing experience. We also had another family at the lodge, the Downey family made it even more memorable. EPIC trip! So many good friends made. All you have to do is get on the plane. From landing to getting back on the plane is taken care of by the hosts and all of Beatrice Bradley staff. You need to just book a trip and go. This was my 6th trip and each set of women have been wonderful. Making new friends forever. Please give yourself this gift, it’s will change your life forever! Mercy is just a gem of a person and a host. She is knowledgeable, friendly and all over perfect for hosting any trip. I fell in love with her personality and just Mercy being Mercy. Review: Suzanne was a sweetheart, making everyone feel included. Snow machining, dog sledding the actual Iditarod trail. All of it at Rainy Pass was surreal. Actually being in the wildness that is Alaska 🙂 Mercy seemingly worked wonders to give us an EVEN BETTER trip than we could have imagined by flying in Jeremiah and his dogs!! We packed in so many unbelievable activities in the short time that we were on this trip. That is my idea of a good time, I always plan to do/see as much as possible when I am seeing new places. The meals were fabulous, couldn’t have asked for better food and drink.

Review: All the women on the trip were wonderful. I form a connection with all of them. It made the trip extra special. The dog sledding at Rainy Pass. We went along the Iditarod trail. The place was beautiful. Do not be worried. The women are wonderful and if there are any problems the Host and Co-Host will help you in any way to make the trip special. Review: Creating a friendship with every traveler and hostess was important. The hostesses were knowledgeable, professional and accommodating. We truly connected as a group when on outings and helped each other when needed whether getting in and out of transportation. Restaurants gave us a chance to sit and to know each other. No anxiety created if traveling alone even though a couple of the women did feel that way. A great trip with lots to do and see I can’t say enough about our hostesses and how much they were appreciated.

Review: Met a bunch of great, fun ladies but really clicked with one gal named Tish, we even did the Zip line together on Fremont Street. We just had a very similar energy and had some great conversations. The Pink Jeeps!! I think we all just felt like kids again and enjoyed the special curbside service. You truly aren’t traveling alone. Laura and Liz, our hosts were in constant contact the entire travel day. They immediately take charge and whisk you away to where you need to be. They literally handle every last detail. And after the introduction meet and greet meal the first night, you will quickly connect with at least a couple other women on the trip. Please do not hesitate to just go for it! I cannot say enough good thing about Liz and Laura. You can tell they love what they do. Upon arrival, we encountered a snafu with our reservations. Liz immediately stepped in, started making some phone calls, talked with Kim and then put the front desk guy on the phone with Kim. Had everything figured out in about 10 minutes. Totally stress-free for us travelers. The confusion resulted because the reservations were put in under Beatrice Bradley staff members rather than the individual travelers. This is something that should probably be discussed in order to ensure a more seamless check-in process for the guests. Laura was an absolute darling, even inviting any of us to stay the night at her house in the event something went wrong with our departure flights

Review: Enjoyed a few conversations and all of the events/activities. Great meeting everyone, appreciated each person as the special individuals they were. We are a blessed group of gals. Live music behind Guy Fieri’s patio restaurant and the entertainment at Mayfair supper club prompted an inner connection for me. And hiking w/tour guide learning was a great time too. Having your own room as a newbie is my recommendation alleviating times of being overwhelmed, get a breather of solitude as needed w/o judgement. Both Laura and Liz were kind professional reps of BB. Review: I loved the gal who was one flight of stairs below me Julie Junker. She would always call my name “Carol” whenever it was time to go to the on site restaurant or activity scheduled so we could walk to it together. We also had to keep our front door from closing all the way, as the key pad wasn’t working properly. We worked together on this and were always on the same page. The sunset cruise really cemented everyone. We were the loudest most boisterous group on the boat and the singer/guitar player kept naming one of the ladies, making us laugh hilariously. The sunset cruise was the last activity we did before departing the next day. However, we did connect thoughout the week, like when we went shopping at Tommy Bahamas and at Lily Pulitzer. I had 4 ladies help me pick out a dress from Tommy Bahamas. Normally I don’t shop with anyone, so that was a rare, great shopping experience that set me back a few bucks! I have found all the ladies traveling on my 4 BB trips to be very engaging and friendly. Not only that, the hosts AND the ladies traveling are very helpful and accommodating and flexible in each activity. Plus, if the lady doesn’t want to participate in all activities, she is welcome to stay back and rejoin the group when they return from that morning’s or afternoon’s activity. IF she is not comfortable doing an activity of two, she does not have to do it, and there is never any shaming if a sister simply didn’t come along. We merely picked up with each other where we left off. I have never found the ladies to be catty or petulant or gossipy either about each other. I find a general acceptance of everyone by everyone else in the group. Traveled with Karla before, and hope to travel with her again in the future. Linda was very sweet and also flexible, as she picked me up from the airport and had me and the 2 other ladies who landed taken back to hotel instead of us having to wait for the other ladies to arrive. Review: For the first time in 20 yrs traveling solo. I did not feel alone. All the ladies in the group were wonderful. Our hosts were great, especially Karla who made every effort possible to insure our comfort. Many of us decided to deviate from the set plans & she was able to get us ubers back to the hotel or wherever. Unfortunately my room was on the 3rd floor climbing steep steps & she managed to switch me to a ground floor unit. Our other host Linda was also so willing to go the extra mile to help any request. I would definitely encourage solo women travelers to join the group. Since all meals are included you don’t have to worry about eating alone & feeling out of place. I want to thank Karla & Linda for making sure we were happy and safe!

Review: I appreciated that we were all like minded. Things have become so polarized the past few years and it was nice not to have to be cautious to speak your mind about some little thing without someone being offended. All the ladies were so kind, helpful, generous, appreciative. It was easy to feel relaxed and at home with these wonderful ladies. Traveling alone is scary and daunting. I felt completely at ease from the moment my hosts greeting me at the airport. All I had to do was follow along, everything was taken care of, any hic-cups in plans were taken care of. They really do a wonderful job of taking care of everything so all you have to do is show up! I was apprehensive at first but felt fine once we started meeting everyone. Jump in, you will be glad you did. The hosts were awesome, they were always positive, supportive, upbeat, cheerful, optimistic and so loving and kind to everyone. They love their “job” and it shows. I’m looking forward to my next trip.

Review: Oh wow that is a tough question because I love meeting new people so enjoyed getting to know and make new friends! it makes me want to go on more trips. The balloon ride was very exciting. We were all on the same balloon close together just a lot of fun. I would say go for it. Many of the ladies on this trip were traveling solo but you would have thought we had been friends forever. I told my husband this and he did remind me that we were all like minded we all got along and new friendships were made. Karen and Melissa were THE BEST!!!! They kept us updated with our daily adventures. So very kind to each one of us!!! If one of us could not make it or were behind, they were there with that person. They took EXCELLENT care of us. Review: I met up with my friend, Camille Willson, who I became friendly with on my first BB trip last May. We reconnected & had an absolute blast. We plan to travel together in the future with BB. Also, it was my friend, Theresa, her first BB trip & she loved it. The inauguration event was spectacular. I felt I was amongst “my people”. By far, this will be a highlight regarding my overall travel experiences & something I will never forget. The event was so well organized, the large screens, large ballroom, food, picture taking opportunities, decorations. I felt really special! The best way that I can describe this is if you’re going to a new church that you’ve never been to before. Of course you’re nervous you don’t know anyone. But then you get to the church and you realize that people are friendly and you have something in common with them. I would also say that there are many women that you will run into that have not done these trips before. I can’t say enough about the hosts. Thank you so much for your time and effort that you put into planning this event. I realize it was a one time type of event and definitely something that is outside of the normal trips that Beatrice Bradley does. I can’t thank you enough for offering us this opportunity. Review: I had a really great roommate. We only live 2 hours from each other and plan to get together in the spring. The Watch Party. The way it was setup, I had the opportunity to mingle and meet lots of new people. Best of all – we rejoiced together as President Trump took the oath of office again. Stating upfront that this is a group for women with conservative values is what made me take the leap for my first trip. That gave me a sense of comfort that I wouldn’t have to be involved in a lot of conservations about things with which I didn’t agree. Afterall, there are so many more fun and interesting things to talk about. I think that contributed a lot to enjoying the experience. I enjoyed meeting all the hostesses at Doral. They did a great job coordinating the event.

Review: On Monday, 1/20/25, during the watch party, the most meaningful part of the trip was sharing the inauguration with so many others who felt the significance of the day. It brought a deep sense of belonging and pride, and the emotions were so overwhelming that they brought me to tears. Though I traveled with a friend, meeting this amazing group of ladies makes me feel that I would have no problem being a solo traveler. All of the women are easy to talk to and there is no judgement passed. It’s great to find that I have so many things in common with women in the group. There were so many hosts on my trip and I was able to talk and get to know each one at least a little bit! To Wyndee, you were so welcoming at the airport and I instantly felt comfortable, especially having found you so easily, AND thank you for saving my souvenir bag I left in the bingo room! Kelly and Connie were active and fun at the dance and kept things lively. For Connie, tallow was the subject of the trip (haha!) It was really nice to get to know Ellen, Sharon, and Jane. They were inviting, fun, and informative. Karla and Linda May kept the party going strong on the yacht. Overall, you were all very attentive, informative, and fun! Thank you so much for an amazing and memorable trip. I plan to see you again in the future!

Review: I planned this trip with two other women I had met on the Vancouver trip last year. We became good friends and hope to continue on many more BB trips together. Also, while I was on this trip, I got to connect with women I had met on the Key West trip, which was great. I hope to see them again on future trips. It was so good to see them again. There were so many interesting and friendly women on this trip. Every time we sat at a table with women we didn’t know, it was an amazing experience. And then I got to meet so many of the wonderful hostesses. I love them all!!! I am from a blue state, so this trip was so fantastic in that I could openly express my great excitement with Trump’s win. I have very few times when I can be open about my politics in Colorado, and being with so many other open-minded, conservative women was absolutely fantastic. Thank you, BB. So far I have traveled with several different tour companies, and BB is the best by far. Traveling as a solo woman, I want to be met at the airport, especially where I don’t know the language. And it is very important that I always feel safe. I also want to know the total cost of the trip, without hidden excursion expenses or lots of down time. BB takes care of all the arrangements, and all the costs are included, except for personal purchases. (One trip I was on cost me $12 extra for a Christmas ornament I bought. This last trip, my only additional expense was for a hat I bought.) But most important, it’s the women you meet and who become great friends. We all have so much in common, and if anyone needs assistance, there is always someone there to help out. The hostesses are the best and do everything they can to make your trip a wonderful memory. I highly recommend any conservative solo woman try a trip with BB. You won’t regret it and I would bet you will be booking the next BB trip with one of your new travel buddies before the trip you are on ends.

Review: Singing God Bless America on the yacht after a fantastic night cruising on the Bay was the highlight for me. The entire trip was comfortable for all women who love America and who have faith that President Trump, along with his patriotic cabinet, will turn the tide of creeping Communism in this country! This trip, like my first was well planned, the food fabulous, and the hosts gracious and inclusive. I already have my next Beatrice Bradley experience booked. Many of us Patriots have walked on eggshells around liberals for quite some time. The Soros run media vilified Trump and all Republicans for 4 long years and to hear the strength of so many women’s convictions about the need for this political change in one place strengthened me. Just do it! Life’s short and there’s a big world to explore! The hosts were always accommodating and helpful. They’re also interactive with everyone and join in with the celebrations. So much fun!

Review: I loved being with all these incredibly patriotic women and it was SO much fun to stay at the Trump Doral Hotel! All the hostesses were so kind, caring and helpful. Everything was so organized and fun! (Except the alligator hunt due to rain) But even then, the hostesses were quick to get raincoats for everyone & had hot chocolate at the end). So all fun adventures! The prizes were Fabulous & Fantastic!! I Loved Every Minute!!! Oh when we all danced on the dance floor with arms over arms singing “We Are Family” Also watching the Inaugural and everyone toasted to the President! Loved it all!!! Oh so easy to meet women of like interests. I totally enjoyed every woman I met. I really enjoyed visiting with Jane Rabe. She was So kind & encouraging and fun to be with- a true inspiration!!! They all were very loving and thoughtful! Thank you and hugs to each and all!!!! One of my life’s highlights for sure!!!!

Review: I was fortunate to meet fabulous ladies on other BB trips and several were in Miami. What a reunion. So wonderful, we all are planning a few more BB trips together. Hard to say one… I was comfortable the minute I stepped off the bus. All the fabulous hosts were so helpful, friendly and organized it made it easy to feel like I was supposed to be there. My first trip to Nashville was solo. I was a little nervous. My favorite host, Connie Hart, made it easy to feel comfortable and included. I’d say “just do it”! There’s no time like no.. dont wait. What can I say? I have not one complaint or concern. These ladies are perfect for hosting. I so appreciate the amount of work and time it must have taken to organize and keep all of us in line. Review: The two hostesses were wonderful. Very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. I so enjoyed both of them. Also, the ladies on the trip were all friendly and fun. I felt so comfortable getting in know all of them. The helicopter ride was so thrilling and it was so great to share that feeling with everyone. We were all so excited to experience it together. Step out! Take a chance. Everyone is so friendly and eager to meet you and share the experience with you! Also, the tour itinerary keeps you so busy and you are sharing the experience with others. Review: Both of the tour leaders, Suzanne and Sharon, were lovely people. They each made an effort to connect with me on an individual basis and I felt very cared for. The locals hired to transport us during the trip were wonderful. They were warm, welcoming, and excited to show us their country. I also felt a real connection to the Costa Rica way of life when we toured the family run cocoa farm. They did a great job educating, entertaining, and feeling us. This is a great way for solo travelers to see the world. There is an instant sense of community, where everyone is helpful and watching out for each other. Sharon and Suzanne were wonderful. They were very supportive and nurturing. Each took time to connect with me on an individual basis and worked hard to make the trip enjoyable for everyone. I especially appreciate how kind Sharon was at the beginning and end of the tour. She was officially “off the clock” but gave up her personal time to keep me company and ensure I was safely transported to and from the airport. Traveling alone is new to me and I was apprehensive about navigating in a foreign country, especially pre and post tour. She went above and beyond to see that I was cared for both physically and emotionally.
