Experiencing Olympic Park
In 2002, Utah hosted the world for the XIX Olympic Winter Games and the VIII Paralympic Winter Games. By any measure, the 2002 Games were a success – featuring 2500 Olympians representing 77 nations who came to Utah to pursue their Olympic dreams. Incredible venues and ideal weather combined to create the perfect stage for the athletes to perform at their best. The largest crowds ever for an Olympic Winter Games (a record that still holds today) filled the venues and cheered for every athlete, in every sport, from every country. The US Team won 34 Olympic medals and 43 Paralympic medals at the 2002 Games. Experiencing the Homestead Crater
One of the unique activities in Midway, Utah is our one-of-a-kind Homestead Crater. The Crater is a geothermal spring, hidden within a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock located on the Homestead property.
Over 10,000 years in the making, The Crater formed when melting snow on the Wasatch Mountains seeped deep within the earth. Two miles below the surface, the earth’s interior heated the water. As it percolated upward, it picked up minerals, which were then deposited on the surface — eventually forming the volcano-shaped limestone deposit called The Homestead Crater.
The hole at the top of the dome lets in sunlight and fresh air while the interior stays heated by the mineral water at a constant range of 90 – 96 degrees Fahrenheit.

Fly into Salt Lake City (SLC) – pickup at the airport will be at 3 pm

- Explore the Hotel and Welcome Cocktail at the Hotel Bar – The Vault
- Dinner at Historic Log Haven which sits in the beautiful Mill Creek Canyon
- Nightcap at The Vault at the hotel and getting to know new friends
Day Two: Tuesday, February 26, 2024 – Bobsledding at Olympic Park
Highlights
- Breakfast at Bambara Cafe at the hotel
- Bobsledding at Olympic Park & taking a tour of Olympic Park
- Spending time in Salt Lake City and touring Temple Square
- Ice Skating at the SLC Rink
- Dinner with the group at a fabulous restaurant
Day Three: Wednesday, February 27, 2024 – Exploring Park City, UT

- Brunch at Avenue’s Proper
- Shopping and exploring in Park City – Host Shayne will take you to her favorite shops!
- Snow Tubing
- Dinner at Handle in Park City
- Nightcap at The Vault at the hotel
Day Four: Thursday, February 28, 2024 – Experiencing Homestead Crater

- Breakfast on your own – exploring to find a great cup of coffee
- Heading to Midway, UT to experience the Homestead Crater
- Enjoying the Homestead Crater – take a Geothermal Soak and Swim – YES it’s winter!
- Lunch at the Midway Mercantile in Midway
- Sunset Tour of the lights in Downtown Salt Lake City
- Goodbye Dinner at Valter’s Osteria sharing memories with new friends!
- Nightcap at The Vault at the hotel
Day Five: Friday, March 1, 2024 – Emigration Canyon

- Farewell Breakfast at Ruth’s Diner in Emigration Canyon
- Experience Scenic Emigration Canyon
- Exploring and Shopping in Salt Lake City as time permits before heading to the airport for departures

Activity Level – High
There will be walking around town. With help getting in and out of Bobsled as well as snow tubing and ice skating. All Activities are Age-Appropriate for 60+ year old fabulous women.

Difficulty level of activity is subject to individual interpretation, so it is extremely important that you read the itinerary and reach out if you have concerns or questions.

Beatrice Bradley is an Experience Company not a Tour Company. The role of a Beatrice Bradley Host is to be warm and welcoming. To relate and connect. To have attention to details. And to manage the behind-the-scenes magic so your experience is one-of-a-kind. They are not local experts nor are they tour guides. We hire local experts, guides, and historians as each location warrants. They are expert hosts and manage the camaraderie and logistics of the experience. Our goal is that your hostess will make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and that you will walk away with new & lasting friendships made during an unforgettable experience.
