Every Beatrice Bradley trip is crafted to maximize the experiences had during the trip.
The itineraries are specially made to allow time for engaging in conversation and having belly laughs with a new friend. We hope that the activities and experiences may allow you to come out of your comfort zone and to try new or unique things.
These trips are made to replicate a ‘friends get-away trip’. 

Experiencing Olympic Park

In 2002, Utah hosted the world for the XIX Olympic Winter Games and the VIII Paralympic Winter Games. By any measure, the 2002 Games were a success – featuring 2500 Olympians representing 77 nations who came to Utah to pursue their Olympic dreams. Incredible venues and ideal weather combined to create the perfect stage for the athletes to perform at their best.  The largest crowds ever for an Olympic Winter Games (a record that still holds today) filled the venues and cheered for every athlete, in every sport, from every country. The US Team won 34 Olympic medals and 43 Paralympic medals at the 2002 Games. 

Experiencing Emigration Canyon

Emigration Canyon was significant in early Utah history as the original route used by pioneers entering the area. It was part of the Hastings Cutoff route used by the Donner Party in 1846 and where the Mormon Pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley in 1847.

Experiencing the Homestead Crater

One of the unique activities in Midway, Utah is our one-of-a-kind Homestead Crater. The Crater is a geothermal spring, hidden within a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock located on the Homestead property.

Over 10,000 years in the making, The Crater formed when melting snow on the Wasatch Mountains seeped deep within the earth. Two miles below the surface, the earth’s interior heated the water. As it percolated upward, it picked up minerals, which were then deposited on the surface — eventually forming the volcano-shaped limestone deposit called The Homestead Crater.

The hole at the top of the dome lets in sunlight and fresh air while the interior stays heated by the mineral water at a constant range of 90 – 96 degrees Fahrenheit.

Day One: Monday, June 19, 2023 – Arrival Day

Fly into Salt Lake City (SLC) – pickup at the airport will be at 3 pm

• Check into the Beautiful Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Salt Lake City
• Explore the Hotel and Welcome Cocktail at the Hotel Bar – The Vault
• Dinner at Valter’s Osteria Italian Restaurant
• Nightcap at The Vault at the hotel

Day Two: Tuesday, June 20, 2023 – Ziplining and Hiking in Emigration Canyon

Highlights

• Coffee and Breakfast at or near the hotel.
• Incredible Ziplining Adventure through flowing rivers and rugged mountain peaks
• Foodie Scene Lunch in Park City
• Scenic private guided hike in Emigration Canyon
• Private Guided Food Tour Dinner – Tasting Utah 

Day Three: Wednesday, June 21, 2023 – Horseback Riding, Tubing and a Little Shopping!

Highlights

• Horseback Riding – We will ride through cool mountain air from atop your horse and a great view of meadows full of wildflowers and sublime mountain peaks.
• River Tubing Excursion on the Weber River which home to some of the most beautiful sights in northern Utah, from stunning rock formations to gorgeous vegetation.
• Lunch and exploring – Let’s do a little shopping!

Day Four: Thursday, June 22, 2023 – Up the Mountain We Go!

• Experiencing the Homestead Crater – take a Geothermal Soak, Swim, Snorkle and Paddleboard 
• Lunch at the Midway Mercantile in Midway
• Free time exploring Midway shops
• Tour of Olympic Park
• Goodbye Dinner at Historic Log Haven
• Nightcap at The Vault at the hotel

 Day Five: Friday, June 23, 2023 – Emigration Canyon

Highlights

• Farewell Breakfast at Ruth’s Diner in Emigration Canyon
• Driving through Scenic Emigration Canyon
• Exploring and Shopping as time permits before heading to the airport for departures

How it Works:

Activity Level – Moderate

Standing and walking, horseback riding, hiking, ziplining and river tubing and getting in and out of vans.  

It is your responsibly to fully read and understand the physical abilities that correlate to this Beatrice Bradley Experience. Difficulty level of activity is subject to individual interpretation, so it is extremely important that you read the itinerary and reach out if you have concerns or questions.

Role of a Beatrice bradley hostess

Beatrice Bradley is an Experience Company not a Tour Company.  The role of a Beatrice Bradley Host is to be warm and welcoming. To relate and connect. To have attention to details. And to manage the behind-the-scenes magic so your experience is one-of-a-kind. They are not local experts nor are they tour guides. We hire local experts, guides, and historians as each location warrants. They are expert hosts and manage the camaraderie and logistics of the experience. Our goal is that your hostess will make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and that you will walk away with new & lasting friendships made during an unforgettable experience.

As a solo-traveler, we need you to provide self-awareness and an understanding that you are fully responsible for yourself. This includes: your possessions, your physical abilities or fitness, your attitude, and all other aspects that relate to traveling solo in a group.

• If you need a roommate, we will happily pair you with another Beatrice Bradley traveler
• Travel insurance is not included. Beatrice Bradley is not a licensed travel insurance operator nor is our staff trained to in travel insurance. You can choose to purchase travel insurance through any licensed provider you choose. We will ask you upon booking if you would like us to send you some suggested licensed insurance companies.
