Day One: Welcome to Savannah, GA

As you step into the heart of Southern hospitality, you’ll be greeted by the warm embrace of new friends and the promise of an unforgettable adventure. We’ll pick you up from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and whisk you away to our charming downtown Savannah hotel. Did you know that Savannah’s historic district is one of the largest National Historic Landmark Districts in the United States? The evening begins with a delightful welcome dinner, where specialty drinks flow and laughter fills the air, setting the stage for the incredible journey ahead.

Day Two: Explore the Enchanting Streets and Waters of Savannah

Start your day with a refreshing breakfast and hot coffee at the hotel’s restaurant. Our adventure begins with a serene horse-drawn carriage tour through Savannah’s historic squares, where the clip-clop of hooves accompanies the rich narration of the city’s past, including stories of its founding in 1733. You’ll see beautiful antebellum architecture, lush gardens, and historic landmarks such as the Owens-Thomas House and the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace. The afternoon brings a historic Savannah River Boat cruise, revealing tales of the bustling port and scenic views of Old Fort Jackson, one of the oldest standing brick fortifications on the East Coast. Next, we’ll stroll through Forsyth Park, established in the 1840s, famous for its picturesque fountain and beautiful gardens. After grabbing a late morning coffee and snack at a nearby café, we’ll head out to Jekyll Island, known for its historic district and stunning natural beauty. We’ll check into our hotel and regroup for dinner.

Learn about sea turtles and see rehabilitation in action. Jekyll Island is famous for its sea turtle nesting season, and we’ve even adopted a baby sea turtle named Lady Liberty! Afterward, embark on a historic trolley tour to explore the island’s layout and history, including the Jekyll Island Club, once an exclusive retreat for America’s wealthiest families. In the evening, enjoy a sunset dolphin cruise along Jekyll Island’s scenic waterways, spotting dolphins, sea turtles, and other wildlife.

    Start your day with breakfast together before joining an experienced guide for a walk through Jekyll Island’s breathtaking Driftwood Beach, maritime forests, and salt marshes. Driftwood Beach is known for its hauntingly beautiful, sun-bleached trees, perfect for stunning photo opportunities. After exploring, we’ll check out and drive to St. Augustine, founded in 1565 by Spanish explorers. St. Augustine is rich in history, with Spanish colonial architecture and landmarks such as the Castillo de San Marcos, a 17th-century fortress. After checking in at our St. Augustine hotel, we’ll regroup for dinner.

This high-performance airboat tour offers an opportunity to explore the Old Florida flora and fauna of the freshwater creeks in NE Florida. Expect to see American alligators, turtles, reptiles, and possibly manatees. Return to the hotel before enjoying a farewell dinner together.

If you need to arrange an earlier flight, while transportation won’t be provided, we will gladly assist in setting up alternative arrangements. Reflect on the wonderful memories and new friendships made during this unforgettable journey.
