Day 1 / April 6  We all meet at the Charleston, South Carolina airport ( CHS ) for a 2:00pm departure by van. We will head South for an approximate 90-minute drive to reach our first destination, Savannah, Georgia. As we drive into the city, we pass the famous Oak trees dripping with Spanish Moss which line the city streets. We will enjoy this historic city with beautiful architecture, cobblestoned streets and squares, and the epitome of Southern Hospitality. After we check into the lovely Drayton Hotel, our base, right in the heart of the Historic downtown of Savannah, you can spend a few free hours taking in the ambience and then head to our welcome dinner for a” Taste of the South”.

Day 2 / April 7    For those who want to experience a true Savannah moment, we will walk to Huey’s on the River to start our day with coffee and beignets, watching the Ships traverse the downtown canal right next to us! When you finish, we suggest you walk River Street to take in the wonderful shops and beautiful homes. We will have a meeting point and at 1pm we will depart for a mini-eco tour to the Savannah Bee company, https://savannahbee.com/  This company will make you smile while allowing you to understand more about bees, honey and all yummy things that come. We will have a private tour and you will taste, be able to purchase and just have a fun time at this eccentric indoor/outdoor showroom. On our way back from Savannah Bee we will take a sightseeing ride around the Savannah perimeter. Once back in the historic district we will split up to allow for a pub visit and dinner on your own with your new friends. As dark descends, we will meet to go on a very special ghost/haunted tour with knowledgeable guides. Afterall, Savannah is considered one of the most haunted cities in America.

Day 3 / April 8   We will all meet for a wonderful breakfast, check out and load the van, then gather to join a 2-hour walking tour by the best rated tour company in Savannah, their guides get 5-star reviews. We will see the park where the famous novel  “ In The Garden of Good and Evil” was written amongst all the other wonderful points of interest.  When we finish, we will all go to lunch for a “last taste of Savannah” and another hour or two of last-minute sightseeing or shopping. We will depart mid-afternoon for an approximate one-hour drive to Charleston, SC. As always, once in Charleston we will check into our upscale accommodations right in the French Quarter district. We will have a fabulous vantage point, right in the center of everything, from which we start out each day. Dinner at one of Charleston’s fine restaurants together.

Day 4 / April 9  A great breakfast at our hotel will launch us on a bike tour ( for those that want to see Charleston in the best way possible). We will ride a route, stopping to take pictures, for about 2 hours. If you do not wish to ride a bike around the city, we will arrange a carriage ride for you around the historic streets. After our ride, you will surely want to head over to the famous Market Street to join your new friends for lunch at Charleston City Market and some window shopping. As the afternoon sun starts to lower in the horizon, we will embark on a Sunset harbor cruise around the beautiful Charleston harbor. We meet at Wharfside and board an 80ft boat, where your guide starts right away telling you the history of the city as you pass by antebellum houses and pass under bridges. We follow the Cooper River all the way to the Fort Sumter National Monument and may see Dolphins and Pelicans along the way. Drinks are available for purchase on the boat. Once we return from the sunset cruise we will head to dinner as a group.

Day 5 / April 10  Today is the last day of our tour and we want to make it really special. It is Palm Sunday and we want to start by offering everyone who would like a chance to go to church (we can go as a group to a Southern Church or you may go to one of your own religion) and after Church we will head to the world famous Hall’s Chophouse for their Gospel Brunch. This is a very special treat. After our spirits are soaring, we will have one last walk around the harbor and head back to the airport. Our trip has come to an end, please be sure to make your departure times at 5pm or after.  If you need to extend your stay to fly back on Monday, we can set you up near the airport in a hotel (at additional cost) to fly out later.
