Welcome to the Isle of Palms just outside Charming Charleston

Every Beatrice Bradley trip is crafted to maximize the experiences had during the trip.
The itineraries are specially made to allow time for engaging in conversation and having belly laughs with a new friend. We hope that the activities and experiences may allow you to come out of your comfort zone and to try new or unique things.
These trips are made to replicate a ‘friends get-away trip’. 

The Stay – A Beach Front Experience, 15 minutes outside Charming Charleston

Day One: Arrival Day – Let’s Settle into our Ocean Front Mansion

Fly into Charleston International Airport CHS by 3:00 PM. Check into the house at 4:00 PM.

Our breathtaking Beachfront Mansion at Isle of Palms, SC is our haven for the week. Feel the ocean breeze from the large deck and hear the waves crashing against the shore. A warm welcome dinner sets the tone for a week filled with shared experiences and new discoveries.

Beachfront House: Explore and settle into our spacious, ocean-facing abode.
Orientation: A brief meet-and-greet and an overview of house rules.
Welcome Dinner: A hearty meal to celebrate the beginning of our adventure.

Day Two: Let’s Sleep in and Take on Relaxation at it’s finest!

With the ocean waves as our backdrop, we immerse ourselves in the laid-back rhythm of the Isle of Palms today. Sleep in and wake up at your leisure. Come out to enjoy a coffee or tea out on the deck over looking the ocean. Dip your toes in the ocean on a nice beach walk. The afternoon unfolds with shared laughter and refreshing dips in the pool. We will take our time exploring the island and all it has to offer. *Please note this day can shift to a different day weather permiting.

Day Three: Immerse yourself in the beauty and wildlife of Capers Island on our eco tour Plus a Classic Low Country Beach Cookout!

Do you like the sound of fresh local shrimp, smoked sausage, sweet corn, red potatoes, and onions all boiled perfectly together in special seasonings served to you on a beautifully pristine beach?

Venture to Capers Island Heritage Preserve, a pristine barrier island only reachable by boat that is just north of Charleston, South Carolina. We will cruise through winding tidal creeks to find diverse wildlife living in this salt marsh ecosystem. Your naturalist guide will explain all about our local ecology and wildlife encountered along the way. Common sightings include bottlenose dolphins, bald eagles, and numerous shore and wading birds

Along the way we’ll employ nets and traps for an up-close look at some of the marine life that thrives below the surface. As you arrive on the island, you are free to explore it’s astounding natural landscape, “Boneyard Beach”and interior trails and ponds.

Cruise to Capers Island’s North Beach, where you have time to explore and shell hunt while we prepare dinner for you! Come back and enjoy a fresh seafood dinner as the sun sets over the salt marsh. Hamburgers and hot dogs can be prepared for non-seafood eaters.

Day Four: Calling all Patriots to Patriots Point

As patriotic women we will embark on a journey to Patriots Point, a naval and maritime museum located on Charleston Harbor. We will explore a fleet of National Historic Landmark ships, including the USS Yorktown, a renowned World War II aircraft carrier. Its a day to feel prideful and appreciative as we see ships and aircraft that showcase the fearlessness of the military and gain insights into the sacrifices made by our armed forces. We take the day to reflect and respect the bravery and dedication in our nation’s military history, enriching each woman’s understanding and appreciation of the sacrifices made for our freedom.

Day Five: A Day in Charleston

After breakfast at the house we’ll be Fueled and ready to explore the Charming city of Charleston. We will start off with a picturesque carriage ride, where every cobblestone and corner had a story to share, revealed by our well-versed guide.

Post-ride, we will wonder the harbor side, exploring quirky shops and taking in the charm of Charleston. Discovering treasures and sampling local bites, we will immerse ourselves in Charleston’s unique culture. As we wrap up our day we will load up and head back to the house.

Day Six: Reflection and Final Exploration

Today we will spend time on the island. Walking the beach and sitting by the pool. We will go into the small town of Isle of the Palms to pick up any souvenirs to mark our time together. We will end the day with a Sunset Dolphin Tour. 

Join our naturalist on a search and discovery mission on this sunset 2.5-hour dolphin cruise to encounter the fascinating bottlenose dolphin and loggerhead sea turtle off of Capers Island, just north of Charleston. Bottlenose dolphins are common residents of our salt marshes and inlets behind the barrier islands and we take you on an excursion to view our resident pods. Sunset is the perfect time to be on the water and viewing the spectacular marine life of our region while enjoying the cooler temperatures of evening.

As you observe the dolphins feeding, playing, or simply cruising around in their native environment, you learn all about their social behavior, feeding habits, and much more. You also learn about the history of the threatened loggerhead sea turtle, which we often catch sight of during the summer months.

Day Seven: Departure Day!

Fly out of CHS Airport. Group Drop off will be at 10:00 AM. Please book flight accordingly. If you’d like to be at the airport earlier, transportation will be at your own expense.

We hire local experts, guides, and historians as each location warrants. They are expert hosts and manage the camaraderie and logistics of the experience. Our goal is that your hostess will make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and that you will walk away with new & lasting friendships made during an unforgettable experience.
