Day One: Welcome to Washington, D.C.!

The nation’s capital is calling, and today we embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of American history, culture, and vibrant city life.

We begin by checking into the elegant Riggs Washington DC, a historic hotel housed in the former Riggs National Bank. With its blend of classic architecture and modern luxury, it’s the perfect place to unwind and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

In the afternoon, we’ll come together for a warm welcome reception at Café Riggs, a beautifully designed space where we’ll sip on drinks, enjoy light bites, and connect with fellow travelers. This is our chance to toast to the incredible experiences ahead and get to know the women who will be sharing this adventure.

As the evening unfolds, we gather for our first group dinner at a premier D.C. restaurant, where we’ll savor a delicious meal inspired by the city’s rich culinary scene. With great food, wonderful company, and the excitement of being in one of the most iconic cities in the world, it’s the perfect way to kick off this extraordinary journey.

This first day is all about arriving, unwinding, and getting ready for an unforgettable experience in Washington, D.C.

Day Two: Exploring the Icons of Washington, D.C.

Today is all about diving into the history, beauty, and significance of the nation’s capital with a private guided tour that takes us through some of the most iconic landmarks in the country.

We begin the morning with a leisurely coffee and breakfast downstairs, fueling up for the incredible day ahead. Then, we’ll meet in the lobby, ready to set out on an adventure through Washington, D.C.

With our private guide leading the way, we embark on a six-hour “Welcome to D.C.” tour, traveling in a comfortable, air-conditioned van and stopping at some of the city’s most memorable and powerful landmarks. From the towering Lincoln Memorial to the inspiring Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, each site tells a story of courage, leadership, and the shaping of our nation.

Along the way, we’ll pause for a picture-perfect stop at the White House and U.S. Capitol before continuing to visit an array of historical and breathtaking memorials. As we move through the city, we’ll also be treated to the stunning beauty of cherry blossoms in full bloom, making our tour even more magical.

Midway through the day, we’ll take a break for lunch at a local spot, giving us time to relax and recharge before continuing our journey through history.

After returning to The Riggs Hotel for some time to unwind, we’ll gather in the lobby once more to head to dinner at The Smith, where we’ll enjoy a wonderful meal and reflect on all the incredible moments of the day.

Day Three: A White House Tour & Smithsonian Wonders

Today is filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences, from stepping inside the most famous house in America to exploring world-class museums at your own pace.

The morning begins at your leisure with a coffee and light breakfast downstairs. Then, for those who’d like to take in more of the city’s charm, we’ll enjoy a relaxed morning stroll through the beautiful area near The Riggs, soaking in the atmosphere before heading to lunch.

We’ll gather for a delicious lunch at Devon and Blakely, where we’ll refuel and get ready for the incredible experience ahead—a private tour of the White House! Standing in the same halls where history has been made, we’ll explore the residence of presidents and gain an intimate look at the home that has been at the center of American leadership for centuries.

The afternoon is dedicated to the Smithsonian museums, where everyone can choose their own adventure. Our hosts will help coordinate small groups based on interests, and whether you’re drawn to art, history, space, or nature, there’s a museum that will captivate you.

  • National Air and Space Museum – Journey through aviation and space exploration, from moon landings to legendary aircraft.
  • National Museum of American History – Explore America’s past through exhibits like the Star-Spangled Banner and First Ladies’ gowns.
  • National Museum of Natural History – Marvel at dinosaurs, rare gems, and biodiversity, including the legendary Hope Diamond.

After an enriching day, we’ll gather in the lobby and head to dinner at Succotash, a renowned D.C. restaurant known for its Southern-inspired cuisine. Over a warm, welcoming meal, we’ll share stories of the day’s discoveries and toast to another incredible experience in Washington, D.C.

Our final full day in Washington, D.C. is filled with reflection, history, and a touch of indulgence as we visit some of the city’s most meaningful landmarks before ending the evening in the charming streets of Georgetown.

We start the morning with a hearty breakfast, fueling up for a deeply moving and unforgettable day. Then, we’ll meet in the lobby and head out for our next adventure with our private guide.

Our first stop is Arlington National Cemetery, where we’ll embark on a private trolley tour through this sacred resting place. As we traverse the expansive grounds, we’ll witness the rows of white headstones honoring the men and women who served our country. Our guide will share the powerful history of this hallowed site, allowing us to pause and reflect on the bravery and sacrifice of those who rest here.

Next, we step into the awe-inspiring National Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. With its soaring vaulted ceilings, intricate stained glass windows, and serene chapels, this breathtaking space offers a moment of peace and admiration for one of America’s most magnificent cathedrals.

After a break to relax at The Riggs Hotel, we set out for an evening in Georgetown, one of D.C.’s most picturesque and vibrant neighborhoods. As we stroll along its historic cobblestone streets, we’ll take in the charm of its rowhouses, boutiques, and lively atmosphere before gathering for our farewell dinner at Martin’s Tavern—a true Georgetown institution since 1933. Here, we’ll indulge in classic American cuisine while reminiscing about the unforgettable memories we’ve made together.

Before heading back to the hotel, we’ll satisfy our sweet tooth with a stop at a renowned local bakery, where we’ll enjoy some of the most mouthwatering cookies in town. Take this time to soak in the ambiance of Georgetown at night, explore the quaint shops, and savor every last moment of this incredible trip.

For those who want to raise a final toast, the evening concludes with optional handcrafted cocktails at Silver Lyan, a stylish bar at The Riggs Hotel, where we can unwind and celebrate the end of an amazing journey.
