Once settled into your cozy and beautifully appointed room, take time to unwind or explore the stylish surroundings. Today’s adventure is all about savoring the best of Covington—its food, architecture, and charm—through the eyes (and tastebuds!) of a local.
We’ll begin with a guided food tour through MainStrasse Village, a storybook neighborhood known for its cobblestone streets, quirky charm, and irresistible eats. With each bite—whether from a beloved bakery, a local eatery, or a specialty shop—you’ll discover the flavors that make Covington so special. Plus, your guide will weave in fascinating stories of the area’s past and present, making this food tour as enriching as it is delicious.
Next, prepare to be awestruck at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption. This Gothic-style masterpiece features stunning stained-glass windows and intricate stonework—truly a sight to behold. Today is all about inspiration and imagination as we step into one of the most talked-about faith-based attractions in the world—the life-sized replica of Noah’s Ark in Williamstown, Kentucky.
After a cozy breakfast at Hotel Covington Riverfront, we’ll head out for a full day of discovery at the Ark Encounter, where history, storytelling, and stunning craftsmanship come together in an unforgettable way. Built to biblical dimensions, this massive three-deck structure stretches 510 feet long and rises seven stories tall—just standing beside it is a moment to remember!
Inside the Ark, you’ll explore fascinating exhibits that bring the story of the Great Flood to life. Learn how Noah and his family may have lived aboard the Ark, see lifelike recreations of the animals they may have cared for, and gain new perspectives on the ancient world. Whether you’re curious, spiritual, or just love a good story—you’ll find something here that sparks awe.
We’ll enjoy lunch at Emzara’s Kitchen, a crowd favorite located right next to the Ark, with buffet-style comfort food and sweeping views of the grounds. Afterward, stroll through the Ararat Ridge Zoo, home to a unique variety of animals that delight guests of all ages.

After a warm breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head to nearby Petersburg, KY, where the Creation Museum invites us into a world of thought-provoking exhibits, lush botanical gardens, and serene walking trails. As we journey through galleries filled with lifelike dinosaur models, planetarium shows, and vivid displays of biblical history and science, you’ll be amazed by the creativity and craftsmanship on display. From the formation of the universe to the story of humankind, every room brings new insight and wonder.
After lunch on-site (or perhaps a picnic enjoyed amidst the flowers), we’ll return to Covington for a leisurely afternoon. Rest, journal, or share your thoughts with fellow travelers—whatever helps you savor the experience.
Later in the day, we’ll head to Newport, KY, to board a classic BB Riverboat Cruise. As the paddlewheel turns, we’ll drift along the Ohio River, taking in stunning views of the Cincinnati skyline, the Roebling Suspension Bridge, and the glittering riverbanks that line our path. Enjoy a relaxing dinner onboard, with gentle music and good company as we toast to a beautiful day shared together.

What if i want to skip an activity? - How important is it to be on time?
You are never required to do all activities! Sometimes you need a little downtime, and you’re welcome to skip an activity if you'd prefer to rest or recharge. Just keep our hosts in the loop.
Being on time is also very important. We run a thoughtful schedule to make sure everyone gets the most out of each day. Out of respect for your fellow travelers and our guides, we ask that you arrive on time and ready to roll so we can keep the adventure smooth and stress-free for all!

Our Beatrice Bradley hosts are the glue that holds each trip together. They understand how intimidating solo travel can feel, and they’re dedicated to making your experience warm, welcoming, and full of laughter. From the moment you arrive, they’ll be there with a smile—helping you settle in, making introductions, and setting the tone for a fun and connected adventure.
Our hosts aren’t just handling logistics—they’re the heart of the journey. They create a sense of community, offer support, and help every woman feel seen, included, and valued.
Please note: our hosts are not local tour guides—we hire local experts for that. In some cases, it may even be their first time in the destination, just like you! While they’re often going above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly, we kindly ask that you treat them with respect. They are not personal assistants or luggage porters—they are your fellow travelers, dedicated to making this trip unforgettable for everyone.
How does tipping work?
We take care of all standard tips for included meals, local guides, and drivers—so you don’t need to worry about those details.
If you’d like to show appreciation to your Beatrice Bradley host, gratuities are always welcome but never expected. A general guideline is $5–$10 per day, per host, depending on your experience. Most guests find it a meaningful way to say thank you for the care, energy, and fun our hosts bring to each trip!
