As evening falls, experience the magic of “Anne & Gilbert,” a musical that has captivated audiences across Canada since its launch in 2005, showcasing the delightful and critically acclaimed adaptation of Montgomery’s characters. Day 5 – St. Dunstan’s Basilica and PEI South Shore Tour
Start your day with a comforting hot breakfast at the hotel, savoring the moments of your stay. We’ll then visit the stunning St. Dunstan’s Basilica, a magnificent example of Gothic Revival architecture with intricate stained glass windows and a grand interior. After the Basilica, enjoy a half-day tour along PEI’s scenic south shore.
Departing from the Charlottetown waterfront, you will see old Charlottetown and learn about its important role in the founding of Canada. From the city, we head west through the farmlands and charming rural homes toward Victoria-by-the-Sea. This quaint artisan village offers treasures like a lighthouse, craft shops, a wharf, and a delightful chocolate shop/café.
Leaving Victoria, we’ll follow PEI’s red sandstone shore, and soon the Confederation Bridge will come into view. We stop for an up-close look at this engineering marvel before continuing to Seacow Head Lighthouse, where you can climb to the top for beautiful views or stop by the café for a beverage. The final leg takes us back to Charlottetown, passing through pretty neighborhoods, Victoria Park, and historic downtown. To wrap up, enjoy a Cow’s Ice Cream treat with a coupon provided to you.
