This adventure is designed for active women 55+, combining moderate physical activities with plenty of relaxation. Expect daily walking and hiking, some of which may involve uneven terrain. Day One: Welcome to Reykjavík!
Your adventure begins as you arrive in Reykjavík, Iceland’s vibrant and picturesque capital. After being warmly greeted at the airport, you’ll transfer into the heart of the city and settle into your centrally located hotel – the perfect home base for the week ahead.
This afternoon, we’ll ease into Icelandic life with one of the country’s most iconic experiences: a visit to the legendary Blue Lagoon. Surrounded by dramatic lava fields, sink into mineral-rich geothermal waters and let the warm, milky-blue pools melt away any travel fatigue. It’s the ultimate welcome to the Land of Fire & Ice.
This evening, gather with your fellow Beatrice Bradley travelers for a relaxed welcome dinner at our hotel restaurant – a cozy first night to connect, unwind, and toast to the incredible journey ahead.

Day Two: Into the Glacier Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out for an unforgettable full-day adventure into Iceland’s dramatic interior. Today’s journey takes us to Langjökull, the country’s second-largest glacier – a vast ice cap stretching across the highlands.
Traveling by specially modified glacier vehicle, we ascend into this remote frozen landscape before stepping inside a remarkable man-made ice tunnel carved deep within the glacier itself. Walk through luminous blue corridors and discover what lies beneath centuries-old ice – a truly rare and awe-inspiring experience.
Along the way, we’ll explore surrounding lava fields and sweeping glacier landscapes, stopping for a casual lunch in Húsafell before continuing through the scenic Borgarfjörður valley. We’ll also visit Hraunfossar, a stunning lava waterfall that streams for nearly a mile through ancient volcanic rock – one of Iceland’s most unique natural wonders.
We return to Reykjavík in the late afternoon with time to relax and refresh before gathering for dinner. This evening, we’ll walk together to a local restaurant for a cozy meal, followed by the option to unwind at the hotel sauna and hot tub or enjoy a nightcap with friends.

Day Three: Whale Safari & The Golden Circle
Day Four: Waterfalls and Beaches
After breakfast, we leave the city to visit the spectacular Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, where we can walk behind the falls and capture amazing photos. Next, we head to Reynisfjara, the famous black sand beach with its unique lava formations. We then visit the Solheimajokull glacier tongue, getting close enough to touch the ice. Our journey ends in Vík, Iceland’s southernmost village, where we’ll enjoy stunning mountain views, lush vegetation, and diverse birdlife. We’ll have dinner and stay overnight in Vík.

After breakfast, we set out for the breathtaking Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where we’ll observe and photograph floating icebergs and walk along the shimmering Diamond Beach. You’ll have the option to take a boat ride or paddle a kayak among the icebergs—an unforgettable experience. We then visit the historic turf church in Hof, and if time permits, explore the stunning Skaftafell National Park and the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall. We return to Vík for an overnight stay.

- Overnight in Vík: Return to Vík for dinner and relaxation, enjoying the cozy atmosphere of this southernmost village.
Day Six: Black Waterfalls and Icelandic Landscapes
In the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we embark on a scenic drive back to Reykjavik, taking in the beautiful Icelandic landscapes along the way. We’ll visit Svartifoss, known as the Black Waterfall, with its striking basalt column backdrop. Upon arriving in Reykjavik, we’ll check into our hotel and head out to experience “The Wonders of Iceland” show, including the captivating Aurora show. Afterward, we’ll enjoy dinner together and then have an early night.

Marvel at the geological wonders where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. Next, visit Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls. Continue to the Geysir area, home to hot springs and the world-famous Strokkur geyser. Return to your hotel in Reykjavik to conclude the day.

You are never required to do all activities! Sometimes you need a little downtime, and you’re welcome to skip an activity if you'd prefer to rest or recharge. Just keep our hosts in the loop.
Being on time is also very important. We run a thoughtful schedule to make sure everyone gets the most out of each day. Out of respect for your fellow travelers and our guides, we ask that you arrive on time and ready to roll so we can keep the adventure smooth and stress-free for all!
