Every Beatrice Bradley trip is crafted to maximize the experiences had during the trip.
The itineraries are specially made to allow time for engaging in conversation and having belly laughs with a new friend. We hope that the activities and experiences may allow you to come out of your comfort zone and to try new or unique things.
These trips are made to replicate a ‘friends get-away trip’. 

Itineray Subject to Change 

Day One: Sunday, June 2, 2024 – Arrival Day

Fly into Missoula Montana Airport arriving no later than 1pm to head to the ranch: Famous Rich’s Dude Ranch!

• Upon arrival of the ranch, get room assignments and freshen up.
• Meet your horse and guides for the week and tour the property.
• BBQ Dinner served family style at the main lodge.
• After dinner bonfire songs and s’mores.

Day Two: Monday June 3, 2024 –  Riding 101 and A Visit to a Ghost Town 

Highlights

• Breakfast fit for a Cowgirl!  Early AM coffee walk taking in all that is Montana!
• Riding 101 – Learn to saddle your horse (and get up on her).
• We will be splitting into 2 or 3 groups from beginners to advanced riders.
• 2 hour trail ride, nice and easy getting to know your horse.
• Lunch at the Ranch – lots of fresh produce
• After lunch we will head into Garnet, the state’s best preserved ghost town. Dating to 1895, Garnet is a historic gold and silver mining enclave located on First Chance Creek.
• We’ll return to the ranch for dinner.
• Grab your horse and get ready for a horse-drawn wagon experience.
• Hit the hay early or sit by the bonfire with a glass of wine or cider. 

Day Three: Tuesday June 4, 2024 – All day or half day ride – afternoon swimming and boating. 

Highlights

• Early riser coffee in-hand sunrise walk
• Hearty Breakfast to get the day started
• ITS YOUR VACATION YOU CHOOSE – it’s ok to just relax any time you want.  Curl up with a good book, glancing up at the mountain side.
• Saddle up for an all-day ride, packing a picnic to eat along the trail – stopping for scenic photo-ops
• AM riders grab lunch at the ranch and head to the pristine Montana crystal blue waters for swinning and boating (and a few cold beverages).
• Family style dinner at the ranch
• Grab a cozy blanket and we’ll watch an outdoor movie with popcorn, candy and tasty cold beverages

Day Four: Wednesday June 5, 2024– Cottonwood Camp Breakfast Ride and Cook own Steak 

Highlights

• Saddle up for a Cottonwood Camp breakfast ride, cooking breakfast along the trail.
• Nothing better than eating under the BIG SKY with your horse and new friends.
• YOUR VACATION YOU CHOOSE – PM horse back ride or Seeley Lake Tour – Wildlife viewing and stopping to visit local shops.
• Seeley Lake, flanked by the Mission and Swan mountain ranges, is situated on one of Montana’s most scenic drives, Hwy 83.
• Cook your own steak BBQ Dinner
• Campfire and Entertainment (cowboys and gaiters)

Day Five: Thursday June 6, 2024 – Ride, Fish, Bike, Swim or Read a Book.

Highlights

• Cowboy breakfast and AM sunrise walk
• By now we should be familiar and in love with our horse so we will take a bit of a longer AM ride.
• Lunch at the ranch THIS IS YOUR VACATION – RIDE, RELAX, SWIM,  READ A BOOK or GO FISHING
• Learn to fly fish or simply watch the river run by. You never know what you may see.
• Group hike to spot wild flowers and wildlife – photo opps everywhere.
• Cowboy chuck Wagon Dinner
• CAMPFIRE S’MORES and NEW FRIENDS

Day Six: Fridy June 7, 2024 – Cottonwood Camp Lunch Ride and Ice Cream!

Highlights

• Early AM short coffee hike – or SLEEP IN
• 10AM Cottonwood Trail Lunch Ride – Make lunch along the trail!
• Ovando Ice Cream at Blackfoot Company while taking a Wildlife Car Tour
• Located in the historical downtown of Ovando, Montana, the Blackfoot Commercial Company has been around since 1897. It has many features, including a Convenience Store with old fashion scoop ice cream, espresso bar, propane, gas station, and fresh fruit and vegetables when in season.
• Cowboy dinner at the ranch.  With Speical Local wine tasting
• CAMPFIRE Following Dinner

Day Seven: Saturday June 8, 2024 – Departure Day

Highlights

• Short Moring walk and saying goodbye to your horse.
• Breakfast at the ranch with until-we-meet-again new friends!
• Airport Departures – No earlier than 1PM.

Important trip information 

• The maximum weight limit for this trip is 250lbs, for the safety of you and the horse.
• You must be able to lift 25lbs, for handling gear and equipment around the ranch.
• You need good balance for staying on a horse and walking on outdoor terrain.
• No horseback experience is necessary but you do need to be flexible and strong enough to pull yourself up to get on a horse.

This is a family-run ranch that welcomes us into their lifestyle.  Not all sleeping arrangements are identical.

Difficulty level of activity is subject to individual interpretation, so it is extremely important that you read the itinerary and reach out if you have concerns or questions.

Role of a Beatrice bradley hostess

Beatrice Bradley is an Experience Company not a Tour Company.  The role of a Beatrice Bradley Host is to be warm and welcoming. To relate and connect. To have attention to details. And to manage the behind-the-scenes magic so your experience is one-of-a-kind. They are not local experts nor are they tour guides. We hire local experts, guides, and historians as each location warrants. They are expert hosts and manage the camaraderie and logistics of the experience. Our goal is that your hostess will make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and that you will walk away with new & lasting friendships made during an unforgettable experience.

As a solo-traveler, we need you to provide self-awareness and an understanding that you are fully responsible for yourself. This includes: your possessions, your physical abilities or fitness, your attitude, and all other aspects that relate to traveling solo in a group.

• This is not a handicap accessible able trip – you must be able to get in and out of a Large Passenger Transit Vehicle
• All Ground transportation is included on this trip
• Group Airport transfers are included in this trip.
• This trip will have have a maximum of 18 women
• This trip will have 2 Beatrice Bradley Hostesses
• If you need a roommate, we will happily pair you with another Beatrice Bradley traveler
• Travel insurance is not included. Beatrice Bradley is not a licensed travel insurance operator nor is our staff trained to in travel insurance. You can choose to purchase travel insurance through any licensed provider you choose. We will ask you upon booking if you would like us to send you some suggested licensed insurance companies.
