Every Beatrice Bradley trip is crafted to maximize the experiences had during the trip.
The itineraries are specially made to allow time for engaging in conversation and having belly laughs with a new friend. We hope that the activities and experiences may allow you to come out of your comfort zone and to try new or unique things.
These trips are made to replicate a ‘friends get-away trip’.

Day One: – Arrival Day   

Highlights

• The hosts will meet you at the airport in Long Beach
• We will take the ferry to the sun-drenched Catalina Island
• Check in, get settled and explore the Island before a group dinner
• After dinner island walk and nightcap

Day Two: Open-Air Bison’s Hummer Tour and Zipline Adventure  

Highlights

• Early-riser coffee walk
• Ranch Breakfast at or near the hotel.
• Climb aboard an open-air Hummer and go in search of American bison on this exciting expedition into Catalina’s rugged interior. Catalina’s American bison, sometimes referred to as buffalo, are descendants of a small herd left on the island by a movie crew in the 1920s. 
• We will head to the ridge top, 600 feet above Descanso Beach Club, with sweeping ocean views as you zigzag and zip-line your way down and across the canyon, through a grove of towering eucalyptus trees. 
• Dinner at a fabulous local spot.

Day Three: Boat Ride to Explore Marine Life and the Rustic Village of Two Harbors   

Highlights

• Early-riser ranch coffee walk.  OPTIONAL
• Breakfast at or near the hotel.
•  Take a fast boat ride to the other end of the island to the cute, Rustic, Wildlife filled Two Harbors. (Cyclone Boat)
• Explore scenic secluded coves from kayaks that line the shore. Beachcombing stops as we paddle.

Day Four: A Dazzling Day of Gardens, Hiking and Snorkeling (age appropriate) 

Highlights

• Early-riser island exploring with coffee in hand.
• Breakfast at or near the hotel
• Visit the Botanical Gardens which showcases plants from every corner of the earth.
• Garden to Sky hike for a dazzling view of both sides of the Island. On one side hikers see the mainland, and on the other, the open Pacific Ocean — complete with views of other Channel Islands.
• Experience some of the “World’s Best Snorkeling”  Voted “World’s Healthiest Marine Environment” by Scuba Diving Magazine, the water is clear and clean, with visibility ranging from 40-100 feet.  
• Last group dinner together will have saved the best for last!

Day Five: Departure Day  

Highlights

• Breakfast at or near the hotel
• A final goodbye to the island before we jump on the ferry.
• The hostesses will be with you every step of the way to help catch your flights, making your travel stress-free and fun.

How it Works:

Activity Level – Moderate

There will be walking and standing during the tours and getting in and out of boats.  You will need to be able to get in and out of a van.  Zip lining is optional.

It is your responsibly to fully read and understand the physical abilities that correlate to this Beatrice Bradley Experience. Difficulty level of activity is subject to individual interpretation so it is extremely important that you read the itinerary and reach out if you have concerns or questions.

Role of a Beatrice bradley hostess

Beatrice Bradley is an Experience Company not a Tour Company.  The role of a Beatrice Bradley Host is to be warm and welcoming. To relate and connect. To have attention to details. And to manage the behind-the-scenes magic so your experience is one-of-a-kind. They are not local experts nor are they tour guides. We hire local experts, guides, and historians as each location warrants. They are expert hosts and manage the camaraderie and logistics of the experience. Our goal is that your hostess will make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and that you will walk away with new & lasting friendships made during an unforgettable experience.

As a solo-traveler, we need you to provide self-awareness and an understanding that you are fully responsible for yourself. This includes: your possessions, your physical abilities or fitness, your attitude, and all other aspects that relate to traveling solo in a group.

• This is not a handicap accessible able trip – you must be able to get in and out of a Large Passenger Transit Vehicle
• All Ground transportation is included on this trip
• Group Airport transfers are included in this trip
• This trip will have have a maximum of 12 women
• This trip will have 2 Beatrice Bradley Hosts and onsite guides
• If you need a roommate, we will happily pair you with another Beatrice Bradley traveler
• Travel insurance is not included. Beatrice Bradley is not a licensed travel insurance operator nor is our staff trained to in travel insurance. You can choose to purchase travel insurance through any licensed provider you choose. We will ask you upon booking if you would like us to send you some suggested licensed insurance companies.
