Over the next thirteen days, you’ll see the Australia you’ve always meant to see:

Australia is not one place but a dozen — a glittering harbour city wrapped around white sails, a coral sea scattered with seventy-four islands, a tropical north where the rainforest meets the reef, and a graceful southern capital built for lingering over coffee.
Over thirteen days you will stand beneath the Opera House, float above a living wonder of the world, wake to wallabies outside your window, and watch the smallest penguins on earth come home at dusk. It is the trip of a lifetime — and you will spend every day of it cared for, and never once alone.

Day by Day
Day One: Welcome to Sydney
You did it. You actually flew to Australia.
After all those hours in the air, the moment you walk through the arrivals doors you’ll see a familiar face — your Beatrice Bradley host, waiting with a warm smile and ready to take it from here. No figuring out a strange airport, no fumbling with currency or directions. Just a hug, your bags handled, and a comfortable ride into the heart of Sydney.
Today isn’t about sightseeing — it’s about easing in. We’ll do our very best to beat the jet lag together with a gentle first day built around rest, fresh air, and letting your body slowly catch up to Australian time. We’ll settle into our elegant five-star hotel in the heart of the city, freshen up, and take it slow before the days ahead.
Tonight, we’ll gather for a relaxed welcome dinner at the hotel — your first taste of Australia and the perfect moment to meet the women you’ll be sharing this adventure with: like-minded company, easy to be around, the kind of women you don’t have to explain yourself to. A glass raised, a few laughs already starting, and the very beginning of friendships that often last long after the trip is over.
Welcome to Australia. Let the adventure begin.
Overnight: Sydney Transfer: Flight (arrival)
Highlights
- A Warm Welcome at the Airport — A friendly face the moment you step off the plane, with every detail handled from your very first step on Australian soil.
- A Five-Star Hotel in the Heart of Sydney — We settle into an elegant, centrally located stay, perfectly placed for the days ahead.
- A Gentle First Day — A restful, hosted welcome to ease us all into Australian time.
- A Relaxed Welcome Dinner — We gather for that first toast and meet the women we’ll share the adventure with.
Fun Fact: Sydney is the oldest city in Australia, founded in 1788, and sits on what is widely considered one of the most beautiful natural harbours on Earth.
A Note on Arrival: Many flights from the U.S. arrive in Sydney in the early morning hours. Standard hotel check-in is 3:00 PM, and while we’ll do our best to ready rooms as early as possible, early access cannot be guaranteed. If you’d like to arrive a day early to settle in before the trip officially begins, please reach out to Lindsay to make arrangements.
Day Two: Falling in Love with Sydney
Good morning, Australia.
After a good night’s sleep and an unhurried breakfast, we’ll meet the private local guide who’s ours for the whole day — a Sydney-born host who knows this city the way only a local can, with the stories, the shortcuts, and the best place to stop for a flat white all tucked in their back pocket. There’s no crowd to follow and no schedule to chase. It’s just our small group, a city laid out like a private invitation, and a whole day to fall in love with Sydney.
We’ll start where it all began — The Rocks, the historic cobblestone neighborhood beneath the Harbour Bridge where modern Australia took its first steps in 1788. From there, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, where the Opera House sails and the Harbour Bridge line up in one perfect frame — the photograph you’ve seen your whole life, suddenly right in front of you.
From there the day opens up, shaped around our group and our pace. We’ll wander the elegant tree-lined streets of Paddington and its Victorian terraces, pause at the quiet clifftop of North Head for panoramic views you won’t find on a postcard, and dip down to laid-back Manly, where the harbour ferries glide in and the surfers paddle out. We’ll feel the famous golden sand of Bondi underfoot, stand above the dramatic cliffs of The Gap at Watsons Bay where the city meets the open ocean, and trace the secret bays and exclusive enclaves of the scenic Eastern Suburbs — pausing for a relaxed lunch together somewhere lovely along the way.
Tonight, dinner out together at a lovely spot in the city — and the happy business of comparing notes on which view stole the show.
Overnight: Sydney
Highlights
- A Private Local Guide for the Day — A Sydney-born host who shapes the day around our group, our pace, and our energy.
- The Rocks — We walk the cobblestone streets where modern Australia began in 1788, right beneath the Harbour Bridge.
- Mrs Macquarie’s Chair — The most iconic photo in Sydney, Opera House sails and Harbour Bridge framed in one unforgettable view.
- Bondi Beach — We feel the famous golden sand underfoot at one of the most beloved beaches in the world.
- North Head Lookout — Sweeping panoramic views from a quiet clifftop most visitors never find.
- Manly Beach — The laid-back beachside neighborhood loved by Sydneysiders.
- Watsons Bay & The Gap — The dramatic clifftops where Sydney meets the open ocean.
- Paddington & the Scenic Eastern Suburbs — Elegant Victorian streets, secluded bays, and exclusive coastal enclaves.
- A Midday Pause — We break for a relaxed group lunch as the day unfolds.
Fun Fact: The Sydney Harbour Bridge is the largest steel arch bridge in the world — and locals have affectionately called it “the Coathanger” for nearly a century.
Day Three: Inside the Opera House & an Evening on the Harbour
There are buildings in the world you recognize the moment you see them. The Sydney Opera House is one of them.
This morning, we’ll step inside one of the most extraordinary buildings on Earth on a guided tour led by a local expert. Standing beneath those famous white sails, we’ll hear the remarkable story of how it came to be — the wild international competition, the unknown architect from Denmark who almost didn’t get his design submitted on time, the fourteen years it took to build, the one million ceramic tiles that catch the light differently every hour of the day. We’ll wander grand foyers, peek into world-renowned performance halls, and stand in spaces where the world’s greatest musicians, dancers, and singers have performed for over fifty years. By the time we walk out, you’ll see the Opera House with completely different eyes.
Afterward, your hosts will give us a gentle afternoon to catch our breath — a quiet coffee, a slow wander, a little time to rest. We’ve earned it.
This evening is the one we’ll remember. We’ll board a private boat for an evening cruise on Sydney Harbour, gliding past the Opera House sails as they glow against the sunset sky and slipping beneath the magnificent Harbour Bridge. As the lights of Sydney come on one by one and the city begins to sparkle on the water, you’ll understand why this is so often called the most beautiful harbour in the world. A glass in hand, good friends beside you, and a view you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
Overnight: Sydney
Highlights
- Guided Sydney Opera House Tour — We step inside one of the most architecturally remarkable buildings in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- The Story Behind the Sails — The incredible story of how this masterpiece came to be, from the unknown Danish architect to the fourteen years of construction.
- Inside the Performance Halls — We wander spaces where the world’s greatest musicians, dancers, and singers have performed for over fifty years.
- A Gentle Afternoon to Catch Our Breath — A little hosted downtime to rest and recharge before the evening cruise.
- Evening Sydney Harbour Cruise — We sail past the glowing Opera House sails and beneath the iconic Harbour Bridge as the sun sets and the city lights come on.
- A Sunset View Unlike Any Other — We take in one of the most beautiful harbour scenes in the world, glass in hand.
Fun Fact: The Opera House’s gleaming white sails all came from a single idea — architect Jørn Utzon designed them as sections of one giant sphere, a breakthrough he is said to have found while peeling an orange.
Day Four: A Gentle Morning & a Night in the Wild
After three full days of harbour views, cobblestones, and Opera House sails, your hosts have planned a gentler morning — before one of the most unforgettable nights of the entire trip.
This morning we say a fond goodbye to our city hotel — and there’s nothing for you to carry. Your hosts see to the bags and send them ahead to tonight’s stay, so you’re free to enjoy an easy morning together, unburdened: browsing the souvenir shops for a little something for the grandkids, hunting down that perfect piece of opal jewelry, or lingering over a coffee and watching the city go by. A relaxed, unhurried start, together.
Then, around midday, one last Sydney treat before we leave the city behind. We’ll catch a ferry across the harbour to Watsons Bay, nothing in your hands but your camera, and settle in for a long, lazy lunch at Doyles on the Beach — a Sydney institution that’s been serving seafood right on the sand since 1885. With the water lapping just beyond the deck and the city skyline shining across the bay, it’s the loveliest way to raise a glass to our first days together — and the perfect send-off before we cross to the wild.
From there, we’ll transfer to the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga — and this is where things get truly special. Nestled inside the grounds of the world-famous Taronga Zoo, this award-winning eco-retreat is unlike anywhere else on Earth — a place where you can fall asleep with native wildlife stirring in the bushland just outside your window, deep inside one of the world’s most beloved zoos.
Your room overlooks the Retreat’s private Sanctuary — a lush bushland habitat where koalas, wallabies, echidnas, and even platypus roam freely. Pull back the curtains and you might lock eyes with a wallaby grazing right outside the glass. And the whole place sits right on Sydney Harbour, the city shimmering somewhere across the water. It’s the kind of setting that doesn’t seem real until you’re standing in it.
After settling into your room, bags already waiting, we’ll join one of the Retreat’s expert wildlife keepers for a guided tour through the Sanctuary — meeting some of Australia’s most iconic animals up close and hearing their stories from the people who know them best. Then dinner together at the Retreat’s restaurant, the bush and the Sanctuary just beyond the glass.
And here’s the part that makes it even better: the Wildlife Retreat was built to support Taronga’s wildlife conservation work, so your stay here helps protect the very animals you came to meet. You’re not just having an unforgettable night — you’re part of something bigger.
Overnight: Wildlife Retreat at Taronga (Sydney)
Highlights
- A Gentle Hosted Morning — An easy morning of souvenir shopping near the hotel — Australian opals, sheepskin, local art, and gifts for the people we love.
- An Iconic Harbour Lunch at Doyles — We ferry across to Watsons Bay for a long seafood lunch on the sand at a Sydney institution serving since 1885, the skyline shining across the bay.
- The Wildlife Retreat at Taronga — We check into an award-winning eco-retreat nestled inside one of the world’s most beloved zoos.
- An Animal-Viewing Suite in the Sanctuary — Wake to kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, and echidnas just outside your window.
- A Keeper-Guided Sanctuary Tour — Together we meet some of Australia’s most iconic animals up close, with the experts who care for them.
- Dinner at the Retreat — We gather for modern Australian cuisine at the Retreat’s signature restaurant.
- Travel That Gives Back — Our stay at the Retreat directly supports Taronga’s wildlife conservation programs.
Fun Fact: The Wildlife Retreat at Taronga is the only hotel in the world built inside the grounds of a major zoo, and the Sanctuary surrounding your room is home to native Australian wildlife that roam freely — including the platypus, one of the most unusual animals on Earth.
Day Five: A Day Among the Animals at Taronga
You’ll wake to the sound of the Australian bush — birdsong drifting through the eucalyptus trees, maybe the rustle of a wallaby outside your window, and the golden morning light pouring through the glass. It might just be the best morning of the whole trip.
This morning, we have something truly special. One of the Retreat’s expert wildlife keepers will lead our group on a private guided tour through the Sanctuary — the lush bushland habitat just steps from our rooms. We’ll meet koalas, wallabies, echidnas, and other beloved Australian animals up close, hearing their stories from the people who care for them every single day. The keepers at Taronga know each animal by name, by personality, by quirk — and the way they share those stories will steal your heart.
After our tour, we’ll spend the rest of the day exploring Taronga together, with the whole of this extraordinary zoo right outside our rooms. And Taronga is no ordinary zoo. It’s a seventy-acre wildlife conservation sanctuary perched on the side of Sydney Harbour, with sweeping views of the city skyline behind nearly every exhibit. Imagine watching a giraffe stretch its neck with the Opera House sails shining in the distance, or seeing elephants roam with the Harbour Bridge framing the horizon. It is one of the most spectacular zoo settings on Earth.
We’ll wander past the kangaroos, wombats, and Tasmanian devils, visit the Asian elephants and the famous Sumatran tigers, ride the Sky Safari cable car for a bird’s-eye view of the whole harbour, and catch the keeper talks happening through the day. We’ll take it at an easy, unhurried pace, with time to rest whenever we’d like — back at the Retreat to put our feet up, or pausing for a coffee as we go.
This evening, we’ll gather one last time at the Retreat for a farewell dinner together, soaking in this one-of-a-kind place before we fly north to the tropics tomorrow.
Overnight: Wildlife Retreat at Taronga (Sydney)
Highlights
- Wake Up in the Sanctuary — We open our curtains to wallabies, koalas, and the soft sounds of the Australian bush.
- A Private Keeper-Guided Wildlife Tour — Together we meet Australia’s most iconic animals up close, with the experts who care for them every day.
- A Full Day at Taronga Zoo — We spend the day wandering one of the world’s most beloved zoos, just outside our door at the Retreat.
- Wildlife with a Harbour Backdrop — We watch giraffes, elephants, and Australian wildlife with the Sydney Harbour skyline behind them.
- The Sky Safari Cable Car — We glide above the zoo for sweeping harbour views.
- An Unhurried Day Together — We explore the zoo at an easy, unhurried pace, never on our own.
- A Farewell Dinner at the Retreat — One last beautiful evening together, surrounded by the bush and the Sanctuary before we head north.
Fun Fact: The name “Taronga” comes from an Aboriginal word meaning “beautiful view” — a fitting name for a zoo that looks out over Sydney Harbour.
Day Six: A Tropical Welcome to the Whitsundays
Goodbye, Sydney. Hello, paradise.
This morning we leave the harbour behind and fly north to Queensland and the Whitsundays — seventy-four island jewels scattered across the Coral Sea, wrapped in the warm, clear water of the Great Barrier Reef. The moment you step off the plane, you’ll feel it: the air turns soft and tropical, the pace slows down, and the whole world seems to exhale.
We’ll land in Airlie Beach, the easygoing little town that serves as the gateway to the islands — and our home for the next four nights is a beautiful resort set right on the waterfront, the Coral Sea stretching out beyond the palms. We’ll settle in and ease into island time together: a private balcony to call your own, the sea breeze coming off the water, the boats drifting in and out of the marina, and the warm Queensland air doing what it does best — slowing everything right down. You’re here now, and the best is still to come.
Tonight, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner at The Pavilion, the resort’s oceanfront restaurant, the water just beyond and the sea air drifting in — old friends from Sydney, a few new faces who’ve just joined us, and that easy, happy feeling of a group settling into the next chapter together. Your hosts are right here with you, the way they’ve been beside you all along.
Overnight: Airlie Beach, Whitsundays Transfer: Flight
Highlights
- A Scenic Flight to the Whitsundays — We watch the coastline give way to turquoise water and scattered green islands as we fly north into the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.
- Island Time Begins in Airlie Beach — We arrive into soft, salty air and the easy rhythm of the seaside town that opens the door to seventy-four islands.
- A Beachfront Resort on the Water — We settle into our home for four nights, right on the waterfront
- A Welcome Dinner by the Water — We gather at The Pavilion, the resort’s oceanfront restaurant, familiar faces from Sydney and a few new ones, as the group settles in together.
Fun Fact: The Whitsundays were named by Captain James Cook, who sailed through the islands in 1770. Most of the seventy-four islands are uninhabited national park — much of this corner of the world looks exactly as it did hundreds of years ago.
Day Seven: A Wonder of the World — The Great Barrier Reef
Today, you’ll see one of the seven natural wonders of the world with your own eyes.
This morning we cruise out across the Coral Sea to the outer reef, where we’ll spend the day at a pontoon anchored above Hardy Reef — our floating home base in the middle of the ocean. From here, the Great Barrier Reef opens up beneath us: gardens of coral in colors you didn’t know existed, clouds of tropical fish, and if you’re lucky, a sea turtle gliding by like it has all the time in the world.
Here’s the part we want you to hear clearly — you do not need to be a strong swimmer, and you do not have to do a single thing that doesn’t feel right. Slip into the warm water with a flotation vest and a guide nearby, and the reef will come to you. Prefer to stay dry? You can watch the whole underwater world from a glass-bottom boat, a semi-submersible, or the underwater viewing chamber, never getting your hair wet. Go as far as you want — no further. There’s lunch on the pontoon, plenty of places to rest, and your hosts close by all day long.
By the time we cruise back toward shore, sun on our shoulders and salt in our hair, you’ll understand why people travel from every corner of the earth to see what we saw today.
Overnight: Airlie Beach, Whitsundays
Highlights
- A Full Day on the Great Barrier Reef — We spend the day at a pontoon moored above the outer reef, one of the most extraordinary natural places on Earth.
- Snorkel the Coral Gardens — We float above vibrant coral and tropical fish in warm, clear water, with flotation support and guides right beside us.
- Stay-Dry Options for Everyone — A glass-bottom boat, a semi-submersible, and an underwater viewing chamber mean no one misses the reef, swimmer or not.
- Lunch on the Water — A relaxed meal and plenty of time to rest at our floating base in the middle of the sea.
- Built Around Your Comfort — Snorkel, ride the semi-submersible, or watch from the deck — the day flexes to you, with guides and hosts beside you the whole way.
Fun Fact: The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on the planet — stretching more than 1,400 miles and so vast it can be seen from space. It’s built entirely by tiny coral polyps, some no bigger than a grain of rice.
Day Eight: Island Time in Airlie Beach
Today, there’s nowhere to be and nothing to rush for — and that’s exactly the point.
After yesterday’s big day on the reef, your hosts have left this day open and easy, because some of the loveliest hours of a trip like this are the slow ones. And our beachfront resort is made for slow. You might start with a long breakfast and a cup of coffee out on your balcony in the warm morning air. You might claim a sun lounger by the resort’s 25-metre pool looking out to sea and let the morning melt away with a book and a cool drink in hand. The resort’s day spa is right here too, if a massage or a facial is your idea of a perfect tropical afternoon — just say the word and your hosts will help you arrange it.
When you’re ready to stir, the heart of town is an easy stroll away, and we’ll wander it together: the palm-lined streets dotted with boutiques and galleries, the seaside markets along the foreshore where local makers sell handmade jewelry, art, and tropical treasures worth bringing home for the people you love. Down on the waterfront sits Airlie’s beloved Lagoon — a beautifully kept saltwater swimming spot with soft sand, calm water, and lifeguards on duty — so bring your swimsuit if you’d like to float in the Queensland sun. For lunch, we’ll gather at Fish D’vine — an award-winning Airlie institution right on the waterfront, beloved for its fresh, local Whitsundays seafood (and a famous rum bar, if anyone’s feeling adventurous) — with all the time in the world afterward to browse, wander, or simply sit and watch the boats.
It’s a softer, sweeter tempo than the reef and the islands — a day to breathe in the tropics, treat yourself a little, and let the friendships deepen before our final adventures. And whether you spend it by the pool or out among the market stalls, you’re never doing any of it alone.
Overnight: Airlie Beach, Whitsundays
Highlights
- A Slow, Open Day on the Coast — A restful, hosted day with nothing to rush for — the kind of slow hours a trip like this is made for.
- A Beachfront Resort Built for Lingering — A private balcony, a 25-metre pool looking out to sea, sun loungers, and a cool drink in hand.
- The Resort Day Spa — A massage or a facial if a little pampering is your idea of a perfect tropical afternoon; your hosts will help you arrange it.
- The Seaside Markets — We browse local makers along the foreshore together for handmade treasures and gifts to bring home.
- The Airlie Beach Lagoon — A lovely waterfront swimming lagoon with calm water, soft sand, and lifeguards on hand.
- Lunch at Fish D’vine — We gather at an award-winning waterfront institution beloved for fresh local Whitsundays seafood, with all the time in the world to wander after.
Fun Fact: The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park is larger than the whole of Italy — and the seventy-four Whitsunday Islands sit right in the heart of it.
Day Nine: Whitehaven and the Heart Reef
Some views you spend your whole life meaning to see. Today, you finally do.
There’s a moment, not long after the little plane lifts off the runway, when the islands open up beneath you and the whole cabin goes quiet. Below is water in colors you didn’t know water could be — and then Whitehaven Beach comes into view, four miles of sand so white and pure it looks like fresh snow laid against the bluest sea on earth. You’ll hear the woman beside you catch her breath. You might reach over and squeeze her hand without even thinking about it. That’s what this place does.
We’ll glide on over Hill Inlet, where the tide swirls sand and sea into soft ribbons of cream and turquoise that shift a little every hour, and then — there it is — Heart Reef, a perfect heart of living coral set into the ocean, a sight so rare it can only be seen from the sky. Everyone gets a window. Everyone gets the view. And somewhere up there, looking down at something most people only ever see in a magazine, it quietly lands on you: you did this. You got on the plane. You came all this way. And look what you’re seeing now.
This is the kind of evening that stays with you long after the tan has faded.
Overnight: Airlie Beach, Whitsundays
Highlights
- A Scenic Flight Over the Whitsundays — We soar above the islands for views most people only ever see in photographs, with a window seat for everyone.
- Whitehaven Beach from Above — Four miles of brilliant white silica sand, one of the most beautiful beaches on Earth.
- Hill Inlet’s Swirling Sands — The tide blends sand and sea into shifting ribbons of turquoise and cream.
- Heart Reef — The famous heart-shaped coral formation that can only be seen from the sky.
Fun Fact: The sand at Whitehaven Beach is over ninety-eight percent pure silica — so fine and clean it squeaks underfoot and never gets hot, even in the midday sun. And Heart Reef is so protected that no one is allowed to touch it; the only way to see it is from the air.
Day Ten: From the Tropics to Melbourne
From the warm blue of the tropics to one of the most beloved cities in the world.
This morning we say a fond goodbye to the Whitsundays — and if you find yourself a little wistful watching those islands shrink below the wing, you’re in good company. We’ll all feel it. But there’s something wonderful waiting at the other end of today’s flight: Melbourne, Australia’s celebrated capital of food, coffee, gardens, and old-world charm, tucked along the country’s southern coast.
The air down here is cooler and crisper than the tropics — you’ll want a light jacket close by — and the whole feel of the place shifts to something graceful and unhurried. Tree-lined boulevards. Grand old buildings. Little lanes that hum with life. After the big skies and open water of the islands, Melbourne feels like settling into a comfortable chair in a beautiful room.
Your hosts will have every detail of the move handled, as they have all along — bags, transfers, check-in, all of it — so the only thing on your mind is the easy pleasure of arriving somewhere new. We’ll settle into our elegant five-star hotel in the heart of the city, and this evening we’ll gather over a relaxed welcome dinner to toast the road behind us and the two days still ahead. Because the truth is, the best of Melbourne — and one of the sweetest surprises of the whole trip — is still to come.
Overnight: Melbourne Transfer: Flight
Highlights
- A Flight South to Melbourne — We travel from the warm tropics to Australia’s graceful southern capital, every detail handled for us.
- A City Made for Wandering — Tree-lined boulevards, grand architecture, and lively laneways await.
- Everything Taken Care Of — Bags, transfers, and check-in all handled, start to finish.
- A Five-Star Welcome Dinner — We settle into an elegant hotel in the heart of the city and gather to toast the road behind and the days ahead.
Fun Fact: Melbourne is widely considered the coffee capital of the world. Its famous café culture grew out of the Italian and Greek families who made the city home after the Second World War — and today you’re never more than a few steps from a beautifully made cup.
Day Eleven: Phillip Island, Koalas & the Penguin Parade
Tonight, something happens that turns grown women right back into delighted little girls.
We’ll set out from the city this morning toward Phillip Island, a stretch of wild green coastline about two hours away, where the surf rolls in hard against the rocks and the air smells of salt and eucalyptus. Along the way we’ll stop at the Nobbies, perched at the island’s windswept edge with the Southern Ocean stretching out forever, and visit a koala reserve, where raised boardwalks carry us up into the treetops to find these sleepy, button-nosed creatures dozing exactly where they belong.
But everyone knows what we’re really here for. As the sun begins to sink and the sky goes pink over the water, we’ll find our place along the beach and wait. And then, right on cue, they come — hundreds of little penguins, the smallest penguins in the entire world, rising up out of the surf after a long day at sea and waddling home across the sand on their tiny legs. They stumble. They pause. They hurry along in funny little groups, completely unbothered by the rows of charmed faces watching them go. You will laugh. You may also, to your great surprise, get a little teary. Most everyone does.
There are no cameras allowed at the parade — and honestly, that’s the gift of it. No phone between you and the moment, no fussing with a photo. Just you, the women beside you, and one of the tenderest sights in all of nature happening right at your feet. When was the last time something gave you that kind of simple, uncomplicated wonder? That’s what tonight is for.
Bundle up — the evening comes in cool off the ocean — and prepare to lose your heart entirely.
Overnight: Melbourne
Highlights
- A Day on Phillip Island — Wild coastline, rolling hills, and ocean views beyond the city.
- The Nobbies — We stand together at the island’s windswept edge above the Southern Ocean.
- A Koala Reserve — We climb into the treetops on raised boardwalks to find koalas dozing in the wild.
- The Penguin Parade — Together we watch hundreds of the world’s smallest penguins come ashore at sunset.
Fun Fact: Little penguins are the smallest penguin species on Earth — only about a foot tall and a single pound. Every evening they return to the very same burrow, and many pair up with the same mate year after year.
Day Twelve: A Taste of Melbourne & a Fond Farewell
The best secrets in Melbourne are tucked down its laneways. Today, we discover them together.
On our last full day together, we’ll find out why this city is famous the world over for food. A local guide will lead us deep into Melbourne’s storied laneways — narrow, hidden lanes splashed with color and lined with tiny cafés, chocolatiers, and eateries you would never find on your own. We’ll taste as we wander: the coffee this city is legendary for, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate, fresh local bites, and a few happy surprises along the way. We’ll step into one of Melbourne’s grand open-air markets too — a feast of color and aroma that’s been the beating heart of the city for generations.
In the afternoon, we’ll make the most of our last hours in the city together — a stroll through the elegant boutiques, a wander in the riverside gardens, a quiet cup of tea somewhere lovely before the evening — with our hosts close by every step.
And then comes the evening we’ll all remember. Tonight we gather one final time for a farewell dinner — and look around the table. Two weeks ago, most of these women were strangers to you. Names on a list. Faces you hadn’t met. And now they’re the ones who cheered you up the steps, who grabbed your hand over the islands, who laughed with you until your sides ached. This is the part nobody can quite explain until they’ve lived it: you came for Australia, and somewhere along the way, you found your people.
Raise your glass. You have earned every bit of this.
Overnight: Melbourne
Highlights

- Taste as We Go — We sample world-class coffee, chocolate, and local flavors along the way
- A Guided Afternoon Together — We wander the boutiques and riverside gardens as a group, our hosts close by.

Fun Fact: Melbourne’s laneways were once just service alleys behind the grand buildings. Today they’re the beating heart of the city — home to some of the best coffee, art, and food in the entire country.
Day Thirteen: Until Next Time, Australia
Look at everything you did.
This morning, over one last breakfast together, let it all catch up with you for a moment. You flew across the world — maybe for the first time, maybe after years of telling yourself “someday.” You stood beneath the white sails of the Sydney Opera House. You fell asleep with koalas in the trees outside your window. You floated above the Great Barrier Reef, soared over a heart made of coral, and stood in the dark while the world’s smallest penguins came home from the sea. You did things you honestly weren’t sure you still had in you — and you did every one of them surrounded by women who never once let you do them alone.
When it’s time, your hosts will see you off to the airport — a hug at the curb, the same care that met you at baggage claim two weeks ago, carried right through to goodbye. There will be promises to write, to call, to plan the next one. And some of the women standing beside you will turn out to be friends you keep for the rest of your life.
Here’s the thing we already know, because we see it on nearly every trip: this won’t be your last. Right now, with your suitcase full of sand and your heart full of new friends, a little voice is already asking — where to next?
“These trips can be addictive … I’ve already booked two more for this year.” — Brigitte, Utah
We’ll be ready when you are. Safe travels home, and until next time.
Fun Fact: Australia is the world’s largest island and its smallest continent — which means in thirteen days, you crossed an entire continent, coast to coast.
