The Namibia Safari Trip is designed for women aged 55+, featuring a moderate activity level. It includes game drives, scenic walks, and cultural tours, balanced with ample downtime at luxurious lodges. Day One Night One: Arrival in Johannesburg, Africa – 1 night
As the plane touches down in Johannesburg, the vibrant energy of South Africa’s largest city greets you. Known as the “City of Gold” due to its rich gold mining history, Johannesburg is a bustling metropolis with a dynamic cultural scene. You check into a comfortable airport hotel, where you enjoy a light snack and an early night, preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day Two: Johannesburg to Namibia, first game view stop – 1 night
After a restful night, the adventure begins as you depart Johannesburg for Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Upon arrival, your private guide picks you up in a luxury 4×4, and the journey through Namibia’s breathtaking landscapes starts. The first stop is Otjibamba Lodge, where you gather around a boma fire under the Namibian sky, enjoying drinks and getting to know your hosts while they outline the exciting itinerary ahead.

Day Three and Four: Onguma Game Reserve 2 Nights
After a delightful breakfast, we’ll set off for Onguma Game Reserve, with an exciting stop at Otjiwarongo Crocodile Farm. Here, you’ll experience thrilling crocodile viewing and taste unique crocodile dishes. Continuing to Onguma, we’ll settle into our beautiful accommodations before embarking on an afternoon safari within the reserve.

Upon arrival at Doro Nawas, relax around a boma fire and take advantage of the region’s clear skies for exceptional stargazing.

Day Six: Bay View Resort
The morning kicks off with an exciting guided nature drive in search of desert elephants and vibrant birdlife. Departing from Doro Nawas, we head to the Atlantic coast and the charming town of Swakopmund. En route, we make a scenic stop at Spitzkoppe, a 700-million-year-old granite peak known as the “Matterhorn of Namibia,” offering stunning photo opportunities. The evening is reserved for relaxation, dinner, and exploring Swakopmund’s quaint streets.

Day Seven and Eight: Swakopmund to Kulala Desert Lodge
After a light breakfast, we head to Walvis Bay for a thrilling 4-hour catamaran tour. Keep an eye out for playful seals, majestic whales, and a variety of bird species. If we’re lucky, a surprise visitor might even join us on board!
Post-tour, we journey into the desert to the breathtaking Kulala Desert Lodge. Once settled, we embark on an evening sundowner walk, enjoying the stunning desert landscape, followed by a cozy fire and local cuisine. The next morning starts with a magical hot air balloon ride over the Namib Desert, offering spectacular views of Dune 45 and Sesriem Canyon. We end the day under the mesmerizing desert stars.

Day Nine and Ten: Suricate Tented Lodge
Departing from Kulala Desert Lodge, we embark on a scenic drive through the stunning Zaris Pass, showcasing dramatic desert landscapes. Upon arrival at Suricate Tented Lodge, enjoy a Kalahari bonfire and a delicious dinner. The next day begins with a guided walk with a local bushman, exploring the rich culture and survival techniques of the Kalahari. Choose between an adventurous 4×4 safari or an exhilarating quad bike safari. Wrap up the day with a dinner set in the picturesque Kalahari dunes under a starry night sky.
