Day One & Two: Gateway to the Wild – Arrival in Johannesburg and head on to Windehoek

Nights One: Johannesburg, South Africa at airport– 1 night

Your journey into Africa begins the moment the plane descends over the sprawling golden plains of Johannesburg — South Africa’s vibrant, beating heart. Known as the “City of Gold”, Johannesburg gleams with history, resilience, and the untamed promise of what lies ahead. As you step off the plane, you can feel the pulse of a city built on adventure, a crossroads of cultures where ancient stories meet modern ambition.

You’ll settle into a welcoming airport hotel — simple, quiet, and convenient — allowing you to rest and recharge while all travelers arrive. Sink into comfort, enjoy a light bite, and let the anticipation of the days ahead awaken your senses.

Nights Two: On to Windhoek, Nambia – 1 night

We will head back to the airport for our late morning flights to Namibia. Arriving in Nambia we will check in to our local Windhoek hotel for the night to rest up and be ready for a late morning departure to officially start out Safari! 

We will be able to spend a little time checking out the town, shopping, and enjoying a nice dinner in town.

Day Three & Four: Into the Wild – Arrival in Namibia & Etosha Safari

Nights Three and Four: Etosha Oberland Lodge – 2 Nights

Your African adventure deepens as you fly into Windhoek, Namibia’s rugged capital, where the air already carries the scent of sun-warmed grass and distant horizons. From here, the journey northward begins — a scenic drive through Namibia’s vast savannas and desert scrublands, with the dramatic sky stretching endlessly overhead. The land feels ancient and untamed, hinting at the wildlife that awaits.

By afternoon, you arrive at the enchanting Etosha Oberland Lodge, a haven of comfort at the edge of one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries. Nights Seven and Eight: Flamingo Villas – 2 Nights

Your journey takes a dramatic turn today as you leave the desert behind and head toward the shimmering Atlantic coast. The morning begins with an exhilarating guided nature drive, where you’ll search for Namibia’s legendary desert elephants and colorful birdlife that thrive against the odds in this harsh, beautiful land.

From there, the route winds toward the sea, with a stop at the extraordinary Spitzkoppe, a 700-million-year-old granite peak rising like a cathedral from the desert. Known as the “Matterhorn of Namibia,” this sacred place is adorned with ancient San rock paintings and offers awe-inspiring views and photo opportunities.
