Day One: Welcome to Montréal!
Arrive at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, where your fabulous hosts will be waiting to whisk you into the heart of Old Montréal. As the city comes into view — its church spires rising above cobblestone streets and centuries-old stone facades — you’ll feel the shift from ordinary travel to something altogether different.
Your boutique hotel sits right in the soul of Old Montréal, a beautifully restored property where exposed stone walls and intimate details nod to the neighborhood’s 17th-century roots, while every modern comfort has been quietly tucked in around them. It’s the kind of place that feels like a discovery rather than a reservation.
After you’ve settled in and freshened up, we’ll take a short stroll to a local favorite restaurant for our welcome dinner. Nestled inside a breathtaking neoclassical space, this elegant dining experience combines refined French cuisine with a lively Montréal atmosphere — the perfect setting to meet your fellow travelers and raise a glass to the adventure ahead.
Highlights
- Airport Pickup: A private car meets you at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport for a seamless arrival into Old Montréal.
- Boutique Hotel Check-In: Settle into a stunning historic property in the heart of Old Montréal — architecture, character, and comfort all under one roof.
- Welcome Dinner in Old Montréal: Enjoy an unforgettable evening of incredible cuisine, beautiful surroundings, and wonderful conversation at one of Montréal’s beloved local favorites.
Fun Fact: Montréal is the second-largest French-speaking city in the world — second only to Paris — making it the only place in North America where you can fully immerse yourself in French culture, cuisine, and language without ever crossing the Atlantic.
Day Three: Culture, Cuisine & A Spectacular Light Show
Morning begins with a leisurely breakfast before we set out for one of the most anticipated days of the trip. It’s a short walk to the breathtaking Notre-Dame Basilica — one of Montréal’s most iconic landmarks and a true masterpiece of Gothic Revival architecture. Your guided tour will take you through its intricate hand-carved wood details, luminous stained-glass windows, and the kind of history that stops you in your tracks.
From there, we make our way to La Grande Roue de Montréal, Canada’s tallest observation wheel. As you rise above the city, the skyline, the St. Lawrence River, and the sweep of the surrounding landscape unfold in every direction — a perspective of Montréal that very few visitors ever get.
The afternoon belongs to the senses. We head to Jean-Talon Market and Little Italy for a guided culinary tour through one of the largest public markets in North America. Fresh produce, artisanal bites, local flavors — this is Montréal the way locals actually experience it, and it never disappoints.
After a flavorful afternoon, you’ll have time back at the property to rest and refresh before the evening ahead.
As dusk settles over Old Montréal, we return to Notre-Dame Basilica for the AURA night show — an immersive light and sound experience that transforms the entire interior of the basilica into something otherworldly. It’s one of those rare moments that’s simply impossible to describe until you’ve seen it yourself.
We’ll close the night with a stroll to Le Petit Dep, a charming local café and boutique just steps away, for a nightcap dessert — the sweetest possible ending to an extraordinary day.
Highlights
- Breakfast: A leisurely included breakfast to start the day right.
- Notre-Dame Basilica Tour: A guided walk through one of the most stunning Gothic Revival interiors in the world.
- La Grande Roue de Montréal: Sweeping panoramic views from Canada’s tallest observation wheel.
- Jean-Talon & Little Italy Food Tour: A guided tasting journey through local flavors, artisan producers, and neighborhood culture.
- AURA Night Show at Notre-Dame Basilica: An immersive light and sound spectacle inside one of the most beautiful spaces in North America.
- Nightcap Dessert at Le Petit Dep: A sweet, relaxed close to an extraordinary day.
Fun Fact: Notre-Dame Basilica took over 30 years to complete and was, at the time of its consecration in 1829, the largest church in North America — designed by a Protestant Irish-American architect who had never set foot in Montréal when he won the commission.
Day Four: Journey to Québec City & Château Charm
Morning begins with a final breakfast before we gather and make our way to our private coach. As you step out of Hôtel William Gray, you’ll already understand why this property has earned its reputation as one of Canada’s finest boutique hotels. Two 18th-century merchant homes connected by a soaring eight-story glass tower, with interiors that blend original stone walls and cathedral ceilings with contemporary artwork by local artists — it’s a place that stays with you long after checkout.
We board our private coach for the scenic journey to Québec City, watching the landscape shift from urban skyline to the rolling St. Lawrence River Valley. It’s the kind of ride that reminds you travel itself can be part of the experience.
Upon arrival in Québec City, the magic only gets better as we check into the legendary Fairmont Le Château Frontenac — one of the most iconic hotels in the world and a true castle-like landmark rising above Old Québec. Perched dramatically atop Cap Diamant with sweeping views over the St. Lawrence River, this historic hotel has welcomed travelers since 1893 and feels like stepping into another era. With its grand architecture, storybook towers, elegant interiors, and unbeatable location in the heart of Old Québec, your stay here becomes so much more than a hotel night. It becomes one of the signature experiences of the entire trip.
Then comes a highlight few travelers ever get: a private guided tour of the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Your private tour begins at the Au 1884 kiosk on Dufferin Terrace, taking you through the Château’s legendary history, its celebrated guests, and the architectural details that have made it a symbol of the entire region — without the crowds, and entirely on your own terms.
After the tour, you’ll have time to unwind with optional happy hour drinks before we head out for a cozy dinner at one of Québec City’s beloved local restaurants. With warm ambiance, delicious Italian-inspired cuisine, and the charm of Old Québec all around us, it’s the perfect setting to relax, laugh, and reflect on another beautiful day together.

Day Five: Savoring Quebec City — Sights & Flavors
Morning begins with a leisurely breakfast before we set out to explore one of the most captivating cities in North America at our own pace.
We start with a Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour of Quebec City, departing from Place d’Armes just steps from our hotel. This is Quebec City the way it deserves to be seen — historic fortifications, sweeping river views, grand architecture, and charming neighborhoods unfolding at a comfortable pace. Hop off wherever catches your eye, linger as long as you like, and rejoin when you’re ready. There’s no wrong way to spend a morning here.
After the tour, you’ll have time to return, rest, and refresh before the afternoon’s main event.
As the day deepens, we head out for the Old Quebec City Food Tour — one of the true highlights of this trip. Led by local experts who know every corner of this UNESCO World Heritage city, you’ll wind through centuries-old streets sampling the bold, distinct flavors of Québécois cuisine. This is not a quick snack stop — it’s a genuine culinary journey through a food culture unlike anywhere else in North America, and it never disappoints.
Highlights
- Breakfast: A relaxed included breakfast to ease into the day.
- Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour of Quebec City: Explore the city’s legendary landmarks, hidden neighborhoods, and stunning viewpoints at your own pace.
- Rest & Refresh: A midday pause to recharge before the afternoon ahead.
- Old Quebec City Food Tour: A guided culinary journey through the winding streets of Old Quebec — bold flavors, rich history, and local expertise all in one unforgettable experience.
Fun Fact: Quebec City is the only fortified city north of Mexico in North America, and its Old Town walls — some dating back to the 1600s — still stand today, making it a living, breathing piece of history unlike anything else on the continent.
Day Six: Exploring Quebec’s Countryside & Cherishing Final Moments
We’ll kick off our final full day with an indulgent, hearty breakfast at the hotel.
The morning is yours to enjoy at a relaxed pace. Take some time to wander around the historic surroundings of our hotel. With charming cobblestone streets, centuries-old architecture, and scenic viewpoints just steps away, you’ll have plenty to explore and enjoy in this enchanting city.
Later in the morning, we’ll embark on an unforgettable Montmorency Falls and Île d’Orléans tour. Discover the natural beauty of the region as we visit the spectacular Montmorency Falls, which are actually taller than Niagara Falls! We’ll continue on to the picturesque Île d’Orléans, known for its rolling countryside, quaint villages, and artisanal delights. Along the way, there will be an opportunity to grab a snack or light bite at Île d’Orléans, perfect for a little treat between adventures.
After this scenic excursion, we’ll return to the hotel to freshen up and get ready for a special evening.
Tonight, we’ll gather for a special farewell dinner at one of Québec City’s charming local restaurants, the perfect setting to celebrate an unforgettable journey together. Surrounded by the warmth and beauty of Old Québec, we’ll share laughter, favorite memories, and one last evening enjoying the magic of this incredible city with new friends who now feel like old ones.
