Dust off your cowboy boots and find your hiking shoes, we are waiting to take you on a trip through some of the most scenic country in the USA. We start our journey in Bozeman, Montana.  Dates are September 19-24, 2021.

Day 1   Arrive and we’ll settle you in for your first night stay at a hip hotel in downtown Bozeman. For those that can arrive by 2:00pm, we will offer a trip to the Museum of the Rockies on the first afternoon. This is a good way to get into a “western mountain mindset” as we spend a couple of hours touring real Dinosaur bones and reconstructions of the Dinosaurs found right there in Montana. It is way more than one or two statues of Dinosaurs, plus there are wonderful Native American Artifacts with intricated beading and hand work, a photo gallery with fabulous pictures of the area, lots to see. If the museum is not your idea of fun, a walk down Main Street will yield fun boutiques for shopping and great bars/restaurants for a quick bite. We will host a welcome dinner and give an overview of what activities will be available to us on our journey into Yellowstone National Park.

Day 2 and 3 will be spent hiking and touring Yellowstone. We will arrange for a special guided tour through a few of the best spots and we will have plenty of photo opportunities throughout the park. The scenery in Fall is beautiful and the crowds have abated, we will be sure to experience the park in all its glory.  Don’t be surprised if you come home with more than 150 pictures, I know because I did on my recent visit.

Meals will include gourmet picnic lunches at the most scenic vistas and a full western barbeque dinner under a tent for our night in West Yellowstone.

After touring on Day 3, we will head south in the late afternoon for our next stop in Jackson, Wyoming. The drive out of Yellowstone and into the Jackson Hole Valley with the Grand Tetons Mountains towering alongside, it is hard to describe the beauty.  We will settle into our lovely rustic luxe cabin retreat and have dinner in the town of Jackson.  Jackson has the real cowboy spirit and after dinner for those who want to party Western style, we will head to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar!

Day 4 ,5, and 6   While in the Jackson Hole are, we will ride bicycles along the extensive paved bike trails, watching out not disturb the Moose or the Bison. We will also plan at least two half day hikes: one to the Jenny Lake overlook and one with a guide to take us on the Taggart Lake/Bradley Lake route. We would like to suggest a Hot Air Balloon ride for those with big adventure ideas and my own personal MUST suggestion is the best two-hour horseback trail ride hosted at one of the wonderful ranch stables high atop one of the best venues for seeing the Elk Valley on one side and the Teton mountains on the other!

Day 7   We load up for a ride out of Jackson Hole to Ennis, Montana (a real ole west town) where we will stop for a brief lunch and a last bit of Montana shopping. The route we will drive has more gorgeous scenery around the Palisades reservoir and after lunch, we will back to Bozeman and BZN airport for late afternoon flights home.
