Buggy Rides, Markets, Goats and Whoopie Pies

Every Beatrice Bradley trip is crafted to maximize the experiences had during the trip.
The itineraries are specially made to allow time for engaging in conversation and having belly laughs with a new friend. We hope that the activities and experiences may allow you to come out of your comfort zone and to try new or unique things.

Day One: Welcome to the Amish Country

As you step off the plane at Harrisburg International Airport, excitement builds for your Amish adventure. Your fabulous BB hosts greet you warmly, setting the tone for a unique experience. You’ll check in at The Inn at Leola Village, a charming, award-winning hotel.

Next, you visit Misty Creek Goat Dairy, where playful goats eagerly await petting, and you can sample delicious goat cheese and soap made on-site. Dinner at Osteria Avanti offers a taste of Italy, and the evening is perfect for building connections with like-minded ladies.

Day Two: Hit the famous Root’s Market, Make Pretzels, and Eat Some Chocolate!

As the sun rises, you and your new friends set out on a sunrise coffee walk from the hotel, sharing stories and laughter. After a delicious breakfast at Gracie’s, you head to the bustling Root’s Country Market, where you hunt for Amish treasures together. Lunch at Circo is filled with delightful conversation and Old World recipes. The interactive tour at Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery is a hit, as everyone tries their hand at pretzel twisting. At Wilbur Chocolate, the sweet aromas and rich history captivate your group. The day ends with exploration on Broad Street and a lively dinner at Bier Hall Brewing, creating unforgettable memories.

Day Three: Amish Farms, Country Back Roads, and Covered Bridges

As the sun rises, you and your friends embark on an early morning coffee walk, savoring the tranquil beauty of Amish country. Breakfast at On Orange offers a delightful start with Swedish pancakes and waffles in a historical 1850s building. The day unfolds with a visit to an Amish farm for a private goat yoga and petting party, filling the air with laughter and joy.

  • Amish Farm Visit: Head to Moonbeam Meadow Farm for a private 1 hr farm and animal interactive tour.

  • The Farm Creamery: Indulge in homemade ice cream, made from the cows on the farm.
  • Amish Country Scooter Tour: Explore exceptional views of the countryside, Amish farms, schoolhouses, and Lancaster County’s oldest covered bridges, traversing miles of scenic back roads.
  • Interactive Dinner with Sarah: Conclude the day with a traditional Amish dinner in a private Amish home, sharing stories and a hearty meal.

Day Four: Immersed in Amish Life

The day begins at Achenbach’s Bakery, where the scent of freshly baked pastries fills the air as you enjoy a warm cup of coffee. You indulge in their famous long johns, setting the perfect tone for a day filled with Amish traditions.

By mid-morning, you arrive at Old Windmill Farm, ready to experience life as the Amish do. From pressing cider to baking pumpkin pies and churning butter, you roll up your sleeves and dive into these age-old activities. You’ll also get the chance to milk a cow and cuddle baby animals, ending with a scenic hayride across the peaceful farmland.

After a hearty lunch at Bespoke Brewing, you take a leisurely Amish buggy ride with Abe’s Buggy Rides, exploring the countryside and learning all about Amish culture from your knowledgeable guide. The day wraps up with a delightful farewell dinner at The Log Cabin, where you share stories and laughter with new friends.
