This trip carries a moderate activity level, with walking as the main way to truly experience Yosemite’s beauty. Each day includes time on foot, whether it’s short walks to landmark viewpoints like Tunnel View, Bridalveil Fall, and Yosemite Falls, or longer stretches of up to 3 miles total in a day. Most paths are paved or well-maintained, though you’ll encounter some uneven terrain and gentle inclines.

One highlight of the trip is the flexibility to choose between a leisurely 4-hour hike with plenty of breaks, or a more ambitious 8-hour trek for those who want to push further. No matter which path you take, there are opportunities to pause, rest, and take in the scenery at your own pace.

This tour is ideal for travelers comfortable with light to moderate walking throughout the day—enough to feel immersed in the grandeur of Yosemite, without needing to keep up with an intense hiking schedule.

Day One: A Warm Welcome to Yosemite!

Arrive at Fresno International Airport before 2 PM, where a friendly team will greet you. After a seamless pickup, the group will head to The Tenaya Resort at Yosemite – about 1.5 hour drive. Once we check in, enjoy some downtime to relax, before meeting the group for happy hour and dinner together. Get to know fellow travelers, and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead.

Day Two: Majestic Giants of Mariposa Grove

Today, our journey takes us into the heart of Yosemite’s awe-inspiring giant sequoias as we explore Mariposa Grove. After a scenic drive from Tenaya Lodge, we arrive at the Mariposa Grove Shuttle Stop, where our group will take the shuttle into the grove, bypassing vehicle traffic to preserve the natural surroundings.

Upon arrival at Mariposa Grove, we’ll enjoy an immersive day surrounded by over 500 ancient sequoias. This enchanting area, with accessible boardwalks and meandering gravel paths, offers our group easy walking options and deeper trails for those looking to venture further. We’ll bring box lunches for a peaceful meal under the towering trees, making it easy to enjoy the grove’s beauty.

After our time in the grove, we return to Tenaya Lodge for a cozy evening, sharing stories and highlights from a day spent amongst these silent giants.

Today, we embark on the Yosemite Summer Tour, a comprehensive journey through the park’s most iconic landmarks. Departing from Tenaya Lodge at 7:30 a.m., our guided tour will lead us to several breathtaking sites (please note these are subject to change based on weather / enviromental events)

  • Tunnel View: Experience the awe-inspiring panorama of Yosemite Valley, featuring El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, and Half Dome.

  • Bridalveil Fall: Take a short walk to the base of this 617-foot waterfall, where the mist creates a refreshing atmosphere.

  • El Capitan Meadow: Stand beneath the towering 3,000-foot granite monolith, a favorite among rock climbers worldwide.

  • Yosemite Falls: Witness North America’s tallest waterfall, with a total drop of 2,425 feet, and enjoy a leisurely walk to its base.

  • Valley View: Capture the classic view of Yosemite Valley, framed by El Capitan and Bridalveil Fall, reflecting in the Merced River.

Throughout the day, our knowledgeable guide will share insights into the park’s geology, history, and ecology, enriching our understanding of these natural wonders. A trail lunch is included, allowing us to dine amidst the stunning scenery.

The tour concludes as we return to Tenaya Lodge by 4:30 p.m., providing ample time to relax and reflect on the day’s experiences.

Enjoy a fine dining experience in The Ahwahnee Dining Room, then unwind in the Great Lounge with a cocktail or tea, surrounded by stunning views and cozy fireplaces.

Today you’ll have the option to choose between a half-day, four-hour hike or a full-day, eight-hour hike, allowing you to tailor the adventure to your energy and interests. Led by expert naturalists, the journey takes you through some of the park’s most iconic landmarks and hidden corners, with breathtaking views at every turn. As you hike, your guides will share captivating stories about Yosemite’s geology, towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and rich natural history, making the landscape come alive in new ways.

By day’s end, you’ll return with a deeper appreciation for the park’s wonders—and plenty of memories to share around the dinner table that evening.
