This trip is designed for active women aged 50+ who enjoy exploring and immersing themselves in culture. Expect walking tours through historic neighborhoods, markets, and architectural sites, often on cobblestone streets and uneven surfaces. While the pace is leisurely, participants should be comfortable with standing for extended periods during tours and climbing a few stairs at landmarks.
No strenuous activities are included, but a good level of mobility and stamina is needed to fully enjoy this enriching experience. Rest breaks and ample downtime are built into the itinerary to ensure a balanced and relaxing journey.

Day One: Arrival Day
Highlights
- Arrive in Barcelona – your BB hosts will be waiting for you at the airport with our private driver
- Getting checked into the hotel in the heart of this fabulous city
- Welcome Group Meet & Greet followed by a fabulous Welcome Dinner!
Day Two: Tour of the Barcelona Gothic Quarter & Spanish Cooking Class
Highlights
- Early Riser Coffee Walk (optional for those that wake early)
- Group Breakfast at the hotel
- Wonderful half-day private guided walking tour around the most outstanding attractions of Barcelona. Barcelona boasts one of the biggest and architecturally diverse Medieval districts in Europe. During the city tour, we will explore Barcelona’s Old Town called “Casc Antic” and it’s medieval landmarks. We will walk through the maze of old narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter that was formed around the Roman forum. Then, we will see the Barcelona Cathedral, both from the outside and the inside; passing the former Jewish District “Call,” the Sant Jaume Square; we will see the Generalitat Palace and City Hall from the outside and will pass the Square of the King and the former Royal Palace. We will then head to the Ribera shore district, where you see the Santa Maria del Mar Church – the former residence of sailors, traders and craftsmen who lived and worked there in the Middle Ages.
- In the evening, enjoy a hands-on rooftop cooking class where you’ll learn to prepare authentic Spanish paella and sangria. With panoramic city views, discover the secrets of traditional recipes while sipping on your homemade drink and taking in the lively atmosphere.
Day Three: Gaudi Tour & Casa Mila
Highlights
- Guided fantastic sightseeing tour dedicated to the world-renowned architectural works of Antonio Gaudi
- We will visit the colorful Park Guell where you spend some time strolling through it’s mosaic paths and enjoying the great city views
- The tour is crowned with a visit to the astonishing Sagrada Familia Basilica – the most brilliant masterpiece of Gaudi that is rightfully considered the most recognizable symbol of Barcelona. We will also explore Casa Batlló, a striking example of Gaudí’s creativity, with its wave-like façade, vibrant colors, and imaginative details that bring the building to life!
Day Four: Gothic Wonders, Culinary Delights, and a Taste of Modernist Elegance
Highlights
- The morning begins with a visit inside the breathtaking Barcelona Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece with soaring spires, intricate stained glass, and a peaceful cloister home to thirteen white geese.
- We will dive into the vibrant energy of La Boqueria Market on a guided tour, sampling fresh local specialties, learning about Catalan cuisine, and experiencing the lively buzz of Barcelona’s most famous market.
- In the afternoon, step into the stunning Palau de la Música Catalana, a UNESCO-listed concert hall known for its dazzling stained glass, intricate mosaics, and striking modernist design.
- Enjoy a leisurely stroll down La Rambla, Barcelona’s most iconic boulevard, lined with street performers, charming cafés, and historic buildings—an ideal place to soak in the city’s dynamic atmosphere.
Day Five: Train to Seville
Highlights
- After a group breakfast at the hotel, we will load up for a scenic train ride to our next destination – Seville!
- Take in the beautiful countryside of Spain during our half-day train ride
- Welcome to the gem of Andalusia – Seville! We will start exploring the city or unwind after our journey.
- Evening Flamenco performance which will allow us to catch a glimpse of the charming city in the evening
Day Six: Seville Cathedral & Alcazar and Tapas Tour
Highlights
- After breakfast, we will head out to a panoramic city tour of Seville.
- Experience the authentic Andalusian spirit in one of it’s most important cities, visiting top sights starting at the Giralda Tower, which used to be a minaret back in the day. We will visit the Seville Cathedral, a Roman Catholic cathedral that is the third-largest church in the world. It was built in the 16th century to demonstrate the power and wealth of the city.
- We will visit the beautiful Giralda Tower – the oldest European royal residence composed of an ensemble of buildings from different periods.
- Note: in order to visit Alcazar – please take your passport
- We will have a few hours in the afternoon to relax/shop/explore before we head out for Tapas
- Enjoy a fascinating tapas tour at the Santa Cruz quarter. We will indulge in the best acorn-fed Iberian ham and Spanish cheeses. We will visit one of Seville’s top new tapas restaurants with stunning views of the Giralda Tower. We will pass by Seville’s iconic monuments before enjoying excellent fried fish and other traditional tapas dishes at a beautifully decorated tapas bar with fine wines.
Day Seven: Alhambra – A World Heritage Site
Highlights
- Today we will embark on a full-day excursion to discover the magnificent Alhambra in Granada. We will explore the history, art, and culture of the famous kingdom of Al-Andalus.
- The Alhambra is a stunning World Heritage Site that is considered one of the most beautiful monuments in the world. We will join a private, knowledgeable tour guide to visit the most important areas of the complex, including the Alcazaba fortress, Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife.
Day Eight: Back to Barcelona for an exquisite food & wine tasting event to celebrate.”

- We will head back to the lively capital of Catalonia – Barcelona!
- Check into our hotel and do some exploring in and around the hotel
- Evening delightful tour of food and wine, visiting 4 outstanding restaurants! First, savor mouthwatering tapas at a local restaurant known for stunning presentation, complemented by Cava, Spain’s beloved sparkling wine. Next, we will head to a trendy wine bar with our very own Sommelier, experiencing contemporary Spanish cuisine paired with innovative and traditional wines. The third stop we will explore Catalan cuisine, tasting Spain’s premier red wines alongside perfectly matched dishes. Finally, delve into Barcelona’s rich heritage and modern fusion at our fourth stop, indulging in locally-sourced delights.
Day Nine: Departure
Following breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and will depart from Barcelona.
